View Full Version : Timeout tag

I thought it was a good idea, and it should be brought back. However, would it be able to work with the new infrac system? Would it give you, what, 10 infrac points you need to get a week TO? Or would there be a way to do it seperately from infracs?

Administrators are able to give out separate timeouts that do not give you infraction points (for example Rob giving ArKaiN a timeout for a week for having too much points) so, yeah, this would work but I'm not sure if its a code edit.

Oh, is that what happened? I thought he reached his month-long infrac already.

At the same time, the TO tag was made so Rob DIDN'T have to do them all by hand.

TO's can be done separately so the tag should be able to do so as well. If it can't and relies on the infraction points I'd just leave it out. Three months is a long to to have to stick with ten points just because, especially when 25 gets you permabanned. I can imagine it getting a few people permabanned accidentally for not realizing the number of points they had and if not permabanned then a few month long TO's when they only wanted a week.

I never really saw the point in the TO threadtag. If you don't want to post, don't. It's not that difficult.

He was backseat modding :indiff:

No, when he got out of his old timeout (for having too much posts) he got another one from Intransit for backseat modding.

Hm.

Rob has a larger average posts per day than Arkain. Do I smell hypocrisy?

Eepha, you can't say that there weren't some damn funny TO threads.

I think you forget the fact that it's a super badass thing to do.

Yeah, but there's no harm in implementing it.

Yeah, but Rob is slightly less of a douchebag in his posts, they are actually on topic. Arkain's posts almost never have to do with the topic at hand, and the "facts" he tries to spew out are always bullshit.

On topic though, I don't see any reason to not have one, some people don't have self control and might need the tag. I mean it wasn't that hard to implement was it?

He also has a lot more of forums to post in.

Anybody who honestly thinks I meant that needs to go die.

It would be better if it didn't count for points. It would be a infraction but without the points.
