I know that we can report single post if they are bad but what if the whole thread has gone to shit and we need to report it. I think we should have a report thread button in order to clean up places like the GF.

If you dont believe go here (http://forums.explosm.net/showthread.php?t=11189)

Just report the OP?

I know I reported the original post, but I think we need another GF mod to avoid threads like that.

I just saying give more power to the people and just reporting the original post mean they will only focus on that post right? That's why I say there should be a way to report the whole thread.
P.S. modding me would mean great joy cause I am on late at night mostly lurking.

I have a feeling that if you report the original post that the mods go through a thread and at least look it over. It is evident once you look at an original post in a thread if the thread is going to be crap.

Well I guess your right but as of right now there are no mods on to stop them.

Thus lies our problem. You can report as much as you want, but if there are no mods on it is useless until they get on.

I don't see a problem at all. The thread was destined to be dumped as soon as the thread was made. Just wait for it.

Shitty threads are really obvious because they jump to 4 pages in a couple minutes thanks to all the Spamers trying to be edgy with their goatse and lemonparty and whatnot.

I don't think it's really a problem.

Just report the first post

You're pathetic.

It's not a problem if you specify the whole thread is shit in the report reason.

Yes exactly. So basically all you need to do people, is go in there and report the first post. So stop complaining.

Is that better now Rob? :indiff:

The forum makes you wait a minute between reports, and that can be frustrating. You don't have to report each individual post

If you see one person make a series of shitty posts and you want to report them all, you can just report the first one and mention the rest in the report. When I get the report, I'll know I should continue reading the thread at that point from catch the rest of them. That saves you some typing and me some reading.

By the same token, if a whole thread stinks on ice, you can just report the thread opener as "shit thread", or words to that effect. I'll know to close the thread immediately before I start looking for individual infractions. Just remember that if you put it in a report, someone will see it and, if needed, act upon it.

I seriously need for people who have been around a while to help me out with that report button. I'm not online all the time, and neither is anybody else with mod powers in the GF. There have been and are going to be times when I show up after the forum has been completely unmoderated for an extended period of time, and there is some large-scale clean-up to do. That task becomes Herculean if I have to read through every thread to look for infractions.

If you like this forum, you should take a little pride in it. Don't clog it up with crap just to get your post count up. If you see someone shitting it up, do something useful about it. Don't assume that someone else must have already reported a really bad post; click the button, type a few words and let us know. Users are the first line of defense against the encroachment of idiocy into the forum.

Do your part to keep Explosm smart.

I have been reporting people more than usual for the past few days and plan to do so all the times now.

You two don't often report the same posts, so I'm glad to have both of you on the side of justice.

I just realised I got an infraction a few posts above for no content. Sorry :(

I'm venturing into GF a lot more now, so I am reporting stuff a bit too. But any time I see a stupid post anywhere, I report. Though many of the people don't seem to even get any warnings for it. The comment box I presume you are supposed to type what they have done?
Like;
"AOLism"
"Shit post"
"What the hell was that?!" In response to a post that says "efwah/.ahr"
