Global Warming

Since people were getting mad for discussing this in the Steven Hawking thread, i thought I'd bring it out into the open.

I'd like to present an idea that was used by Orson Scott Card in the Ender's game series.

Basically, an alien race was "programmed" in it's DNA to regulate the planet's climate. If it started to get too hot, they would go to war, burn trees, and raise the temperature, or, if it was too cold, they would be peaceful, and plant more trees.

I know, as humans, it's hard to believe that we may be "programmed" in the same way, but it's something to think about. Especially if you consider how the industrial revolution came almost directly after the last mini ice-age.

Yes, we all must acknowledge global warming and its cause, but the hell do i have to do with it? (Me being in Australia, a country with a population of 20 million people, lower then some cities, like Tokyo, which in that city alone has 50 million people) I'm 14, too young to drive a car so thats not my fault, and even if my whole country went green it would have virtually no effect whatsoever on the amount of greenhouse gases injected into our suffering ozone layer. (I'm not going to hurt the earth for the hell of it, and i think things like hydrogen powered cars, wind turbines and solar power are a great thing) if i could, id help, but countries like China and India are fucking things up for everyone, both of these countrys have over 1 BILLION people and colossal factories emitting more greenhouse then our entire country.) I just want to know why, WHY must i be lectured and lectured until my my balls hurt about why I'm some sort of fucked up super-villain for farting when necessary and using a deodorant can so i don't smell like a turd and drip like a wet turd. can someone explain?

God. "Global warming" is a regular nature process. It has happened many times after Ice ages, and it's happening again. Humans are a minor factor in this process.

Soon the planet will face another ice-age like it has for I don't know how many times, but we don't care. Because by then the planet will be drained empty from the resources and we'll be living on Mars.
To say it in short, the climate warms after every Ice-age and then it freezes again. We are living on that warming period.

Yes, Aliens caused global warming by programming us. I see no further debate, the most intelligent SmileAndNod has already figured out the secrets of the universe by reading science fiction novels.
