Overlord (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overlord_(2007_video_game)) is a game that came out earlier in the year for PC and Xbox 360. When me and my friend first got it, we figured it was going to be a pretty serious game based off the cover, and we'd never read anything about it.. When we started though, it's basically a funny game. You can summon minions, it has funny commentary, and in a way it reminds me of a cartoonier version of Fable.. A lot of the comments from the minions are funny and pretty well-timed. I haven't heard a lot about it, even since it came out, but it's a really addictive game once you get into it. I would suggest it if you're looking for a fun, laid-back game with a lot of depth.

Yeah, friend and I got it a while back. It does remind you of fable, but only because you walk around destroying everything. Your character looks like Sauron, and all you do is pimp out your evil tower while killing the 7 greatest heroes.

Lotta fun.

It kind of rekindles something that I've only really found before in Zombies Ate My Neighbors for the Super Nintendo and Dead Rising, and that's the ability to run around mindlessly killing things with no real point for hours. I mean, it has a story, but if you don't want to play along with it you really don't have to. Sometimes it's fun to just veg out and play a mindless game for a while.

Does anyone else think that Overlord is just a medieval version of Pikmin? The minions server the same functions as the the different coloured Pikmin, and instead of controlling them as Captain Olimar your a big scary sauron type person.

Is it really that good? I thought it was some cheap ripoff of Oblivion only with minions or whatever.. But if I get to have a tower of evilness and pimp it out I'm totally getting it.

I like pimping out towers of evilness.

Pikmin is womanly, Overlord is manly.

Though I do say that Overlord looks good and is a cool conecpt.
Don't diss the Pikimin.

I played the demo, I didn't like it.

There's a Demo for the game? I didn't see it on Xbox Live.. Anyways, I've been meaning to rent this game, but, every time I call Blockbuster, they're always out of it. I 'spose I should go DL the demo now knowing that it's out.

My brother bought the game, I've played it a bit. It's pretty fun, but some levels are just ridiculously puzzling and tough. Still, good fun though, I kicked major ass my first time on XBL.

To be honest, the only thing I think makes the levels puzzling is the shitty camera system, and the somewhat glitchy minion-control system. I can't even count how many times I've died because my minions thought I was sending them to ransack boxes instead of kill enemies.
