So it's rumored that the original three Star Wars movies are going to be remade. What are your thoughts on having these godly classics remade?

I didn't really like the 'digitally remastered' versions of the old ones, so I doubt I'll be crazy about an entire remake anyway.

Hell no. I doubt he'll follow through with it though; I hear he's working on the next three (to take place after Return of the Jedi)...but this may have changed.




EDIT: It says on wikipedia that he just plans to re-release the originals in 3-D, but with everything else more or less the same.

Mostly for the experience of seeing the original films in theaters.

But there's never been any talk of a Hollywood remake of the orignal triliogy.

Man, what the hell? Where do you people get your from? If I am able to remember correctly, Lucas is not going to be making Star Wars Episodes 7-9. But he is (as you all may know) working on an animated series which is set to debut next year sometime. In regards to "re-making" the original trilogy, I think he is just enhancing it further more with 3d stuff, I cannot remember 100% at the moment.

And to those who said the Prequel Trilogy sucks, jump in a barrel and roll off a waterfall. Please.

Just like JonC says. Lucas don't wanna do anymore Star Wars accept the two series. And he hopes only to spend about a season on both.

He want to do more realistic films, writing more scripts (like Indi 4).

I actually wanted a remake of episodes 4, 5, and 6. Watching 1, 2, and 3 then the other three, seems strange, it's like technology gets weaker as it goes on.

Though, I could just be saying that so I could see the Death Star revamped.
