Awww shit. I think I'm gonna cry.
I know the virtual mother sends things, but I think it was their real mum and I hope it wasn't just a misunderstanding.

Sad indeed. Heart warming sadness. I like it.
That's the first YTMND to ever make me cry in a sad way.
I actually watched it and was like "Well, if this turns out to be a screamer video, I'm killing myself."
The only problem with sad YTMNDs, as I'm sure most of you know, is that they often get shit upon by people who don't know the person. I'm still pissed off that I can't delete the comments left on the YTMND I made honoring Defero.
I was thinking the same thing. Hosting sentimental stuff on YTMND is a pretty bad idea. Like making a thread here about something livejournal-esque, it's bound to be pounced on and ripped to shreds.
That is really sweet though. And horribly upsetting :frown:

I thought it was going to be something fucking retarded at first. But then I saw everyone´s post. So I checked it out. I started to cry. Now I´m getting called a bitch from my little niece.

Man, I thought it'd be a screamer video, but it was serious. I mean, I didn't cry or anything, but still. It wasn't really sad, more heartwarming.
Pretty sad. But, the ironic part is, some girl's mom died today. Pretty strange that I would just happen to stumble upon this video, duntchya think?

That guy must be gay.
The YTMND speaks truth, we should attempt to care for our parents and stuff while we still can. Though, I know some have a hard time doing so because of events which have taken place while growing up and whatnot.
Though, at first I thought it was just going to bust into some joke-type thing. So horribly sad.

How bad would you feel afterwards finding out that the whole time you had quit playing and she was still sending you stuff in the mail. Pretty powerful stuff.

No, this is not MY mother that's being talked about. Also, to people Digging this: STOP. Max is not a millionaire. If this becomes another HTPAT, it will probably get changed again and NO ONE will get to be touched by it.
I didn't Digg this. All I wanted was a high rating, and now because of your editing, I probably won't even get to keep that. You didn't do this to Telemarketer, and this is something actually worthwhile, that touched the hearts of a lot of people and started to give YTMND a reputation for being more than a den of heartless, mindless idiocy. I wouldn't have minded if you went and just established a referrer ban from Digg, but you've gone and defaced my site. Yes, it's not original, but I cited that.
Pretty fucked up thing to do, I think, making people feel all empathetic for you, then telling them 'Oh yeah, this is fake and not about me.'
It was still touching, but the person who made it is a prick, methinks.

Yeah guys, I really thought it was gonna be a screamer, but it was actually quite a sad story. :\ Ah well.

Well it was posted on the Animal Crossing board on IGN by some random member(like 2 years ago), i assuming he didn't make it up.
Then the guy from This is Game made this comic (http://www.joystiq.com/media/2007/11/animalcrossing.jpg) because he was touched by the post.
Some random just made a YTMND about it.

Yeah I knew it wasn't made up, I've heard it before.. I just think it's a little strange for someone to put a sob story up on YTMND that isn't even theirs.

At first I thought "Yeah, it's pretty sad." but I was feeling shaken. But when it got to the point where everyone was asking where his mother was, and then all the presents I wanted to cry. That was really touching, remake of a comic or not.

That made me smile. Like in a "that was sweet" kind of way, not in a "HAHAHA THAT WAS HILARIOUS" kind of way just so you know.
If anyone wants to feel better, here's an amusing one.

I wouldn't call it a tearjerker, but it was quite touching.
I've never known a woman over 30 so enthralled about video games. :sobs:
I liked that
Was pretty damn touching, bookmarking it and sending to mates now
FFX music set it as well.

I can't read that quickly, so can someone help me out? From what I saw the little boy quit the video game, let his mom play it, and he noticed alot of love letters from his mom? I never played the game so...

The only two ytmnds to make me sad were this one and Deferos made by BKS.
I can't read that quickly, so can someone help me out? From what I saw the little boy quit the video game, let his mom play it, and he noticed alot of love letters from his mom? I never played the game so...
Your retarded.
Heartwarming and sad, got me close to tears. Two things happened to me lately. One, I've been an ass to my parents, and two, I've heard the phrase "things happen for a reason" over and over, and have been openly fighting against it, since it sounds like an excuse to give up on things. Now I happen to run into this, life's so god damn Ironic.
And that was FFX music, not FF7. "To Zanarkand"
It was sad, but I didn't cry.
Unless I don't have tear ducts.
