So I just finished watching Season 10 of SG-1. And I have to say, what the fuck? I've been a fan of the show right since day one, and I can honestly say I hated the ending of the series. The writers spent all that time introducing these all new bad guys, coming up with a way to defeat them, the good guys finally got their hands on some bad-ass technology, and they end the series with an open ending? Like let's not bother letting them beat the bad guys, we'll just get them to the point where they can, then stop. I'm angry, so I figured I'd have a rant in the internet, where everybody cares about my opinion.
Then I figured there'd probably be other fans on this site, who no doubt would have opinions of their own.

So, fellow Stargate nerds, let's discuss what we thought of the way the series ended. Anyone else hate it?

I love the show and Stargate Atlantis and I was seriously disappointed by the end. I think the show was just cancelled and that the writers left with an open ending in the event that should it be uncancelled they could come back to it quite easily and start it up. Still, it does suck. At least we still have Stargate Atlantis and Samantha Carter does make more appearances in that now.

I agree. The show just ended, it did not finish. There were so many plot lines left open and it seemed like there was no closure. I am more of a fan of Atlantis. Season 10 of SG-1 just kind of seemed rushed and the writers just did not care anymore.

It was canceled because of the lower viewings of Stargate on weekdays during Mondays 6-11 and such. It is being continued in the forms of two movies. Continuum and Ark of Truth.
