Oh wait, it was supposed to be an arm WRESTLING machine. (http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=070822065909.3t4sbpz3&show_article=1)
How, in any way shape or form, did this seem like a good idea to anyone, overseas or not? Any kind of machine which applies pressure in a direct opposing force to a human being can NEVER end well. What if some young kid had thought this would be a fun game to play, and jacked the strength level up to 10 to play? They probably wouldn't even HAVE an arm anymore to be broken.
Wow that sucks. I guess it seemed good on paper :\
Also, who wants to arm wrestle a maid? (level 1)

I've seen videos of people breaking their arms whilst arm-wrestling with other people. It looked painful.
Who came up with the whole original idea of this game anyway?

Robots can kick our ass at anything. I thought everyone knew this.

Who logically would pit themselves against a robot? The idea of the thing ripping my arm off would be flooding through my head the moment I touched it. Its like an angry bikey, you know it'll hurt you so you stay away.

I think someone (not Japanese) should invent a robot sumo wrestler and see how the average Japanese man fares against it. Then maybe they would get some sort of idea of what a completely idiotic idea it is to try and outmuscle a machine.

Crazy Japs and their slanty eyed arm breaking robots. You'd have to be really stupid to willingly want to try something this, stupid or French.

Sounds like a really, really bad idea.
I would laugh my ass off if a kid turned it up to 10 and it ripped his arm off.

Who ever thought that was a good idea, and who thought of the better idea of, not writing the instructions in any language other than Japanese.

You guys know we have arm wrestling machines in America too, right?
"The machine isn't that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it," said Atlus spokeswoman Ayano Sakiyama, calling the recall "a precaution." It doesn't sound to bad. Only 3 grown men fractured their arms :shobon:

We have one of those Japanese arm wrestling machines at our arcade, except it's not pushing your arm in the other direction, it's just resisting the force.

You know what? I would, too. I mean, who would want to arm-wrestle a machine? It's like trying to knock out the Terminator in a boxing match.
Futile.

Those blokes should have tried to go Over The Top. Then they would have won a $250,000 truck and gotten custody of their estranged son instead of breaking their arms...

I've seen an arm wrestling machine in an arcade in Baltimore, Maryland. It had options for different levels of difficulty, but the level it went up to wasn't a "Pro wrestler" level. At the highest level, I was able to keep myself up normally, slowly losing though. And with both hands I was able to easily win (cheating, yes, but it's for fun). I think the company should just lower the maximum power that the game offers and it would be perfectly suitable. Hell, it was here.

There used to be a machine in the more, erm, redneckish states of the US, where you'd grab two metal handles, and it would run electricity through your body at higher and higher intensity until you couldn't hold on to it anymore and let go. Then it would tell you how manly you were and how many volts you could take in.
Now THAT was a bad idea.

There was something like that here. It was based on uncle Fester from the Adams family. It didn't shock you. The handles vibrated really fast and it just made it feel like it was electrocuting you when really all that was going on was a lot of rumbling.

Yeah, I'm not talking about that. The one I'm talking about was pulled from the market after people started suing the company because of people having seizures from the machine. I think a dude was actually killed by one. I'll see if I can find an old article.

I remember I played one of those arm-wrestling arcade games at some rest area a few years ago, didn't seem to be that dangerous at the time...in fact, I think it was the one that's in question I've played.

I can already see an MK brutality occuring from this machine. But nonetheless id try it..... on level 5... with no prior experience. just to see how badly thatd work. and i REALLY wanna try that mchine Arackin was talking about, cause i also plated the one based on the adams family, but i beat it and all it does is piss you off cause your hands stay numb for a while so i couldnt play marvel vs capcom.

Finally, a machine for all of my arm-breaking needs!
Do they sell prosthetic limbs at different levels of strength too? Because maybe these guys are just marketing to the wrong people.

That's why you get all your drunk buddies to go get revenge on the machine later that night, pff, Everyone knows drunk buddies and logical conundrums are the only ways to defeat a robot.

I think we used to have one of those shocking machines you guys metioned here at out mall. In kansas, who would've guessed? But, im positive it got ripped from the mall in about 2 months after it was installed, i never did play it but why would anyone? Brutal shocking? no thank you. both of these machines are completely stupid, but who makes a machine that can break a stupid kids arm? HONESTLY!

Okay one, I think the kid was just curious, I mean... I would >>. Setting it on level 10, okay that's just stupid. Breaking his arm, well uuh, I got to be honest here, I laughed... And pretty darn hard. I guess that taught him to never arm wrestle a robot, that is just plain stupid, because robots are stronger. Even a freakin 5 year old knows that!
A shoking machine? Seriously?... No comment on that one.
I broke my arm looking at that pic.
She totally does not look 18. I feel dirty.
