Nope, but my Great Grandmother died in 2006. Was the first (and only) funeral I'd been to, and it was incredibly sad. But I seemed to be the only person not crying, which made me feel a bit bad.

Then again, she was nearly 90 and suffering from all kinds of long term illnesses, so it's not like she was struck down in her prime. At that point I think she wanted to die, because she simply stopped eating.

I'm currently reading Never Mind the Pollacks by Neal Pollack. It kicks ass so far. Definately helps to know a lot about music, otherwise you won't get half the references. Then again, knowing a lot about music is probably the reason you picked up the book in the first place. I'm also reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck. Pretty good. Cathy is the most interesting whore ever.

Sitting on the beach in Zanzibar, the sun had just set, I was sipping a local beer with my feet in the sand reminiscing on an awesome day when I saw a shooting star streak across the sky. My view of the shooting star was so clear I could actually see little pieces breaking off. amazing.
