The next great RPG for the Xbox 360 and PC? It just might be.

Two Worlds (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/752/752859p1.html)

I've been excited about this ever since I heard about it. It looks to be a combination of Fable and Oblivion with one major difference: Online Multiplayer. You and up to 7 other players can get together online and play. PC players will even be able to create maps which (if Microsoft isn't a dick) Xbox 360 users may be able to play on as well.

The coolest thing in my opinion? Spells. Just look what IGN reports:
One interesting side note to the spell mixing is that once you create a new spell, you can register it online and name it. If you're the first one to do so, that's the name that will stick in the online world.

The environments are even destructible. A fire spell can burn grass, leaving charred patches which will eventually grow back over time.

If that isn't enough, rabbits were actually motion-captured to get their movements in the game as realistic as possible.

As more and more details are given, Two Worlds looks like it could be the next game we all put 100+ hours into.

Is there any word on playable classes or races? I checked the article but didn't see anything there. The stills were also unenlightening. However, being able to make custom maps for other users with unique tasks and objectives would be an excellent concept for an RPG.

In single player mode you have to be human (I guess that's the only way the storyline works) but the create-a-character thing is supposed to be pretty extensive (like Oblivion where you could modify body and face shape). For online you'll have to create a totally new character and you can choose from 8 different classes (which are most likely your average roleplaying classes like orc, elf, dwarf, etc.).

It looks really cool, I love that the map has different types of environments, whereas in Oblivion everything was just woods. If I had enough money, I'd buy it tomorrow (because I'm seriously bored), but due to a big lack of it, I'll probably never buy it, or maybe when there are no new interresting games coming out, which probably won't happen untill the next summer.
