Ok so I know most the explosmers here have a Wii and they're all jerking off on Super Mario Galaxy and rightfully so. But this guy took his Wii and with some thinking outside of the gaming console, he developed some really cool stuff.
There's one example where he shows what real 3-D games could possibly look like. He also did some really cool stuff with the Wii remote that a lot of people haven't even thought of.
Just thought I'd share.

This guy is pretty amazing. I've seen two of his videos so far, one of them showing how the sensor bar could be used to show true 3D, and the finger mapping video. He's really a genius and Nintendo should be looking into some of his ideas.
That and he's a great presenter too, he doesn't make it sound too complicated and he tells some jokes along the way.
Yeah, I think someone posted his Head-tracking thing a few days ago and I thought it was pretty neat. I mean, I knew the Wii had potential, but this guy just takes it to the next level and beyond.
Why he doesnt have a job with them yet, I don't know.

This guy must have alot of time, but I think his ideas could be very useful to make the Wii more popular than it already is.

His bio says he works for CMU, and I'm guessing that might pay better than a job at Nintendo.
Anyways, the stuff he's churned out with the Wiimote is simply amazing. I've yet to try any of them, but because I've got so much free time off from school I may attempt the head-tracking sometime soon.

He posted a video of one of his works. I think this thread is more about everything as a collected.

As I posted in another thread, Nintendo won't use his ideas because it'll cost more than Nintendo will spend plus it will need original ideas for new games which Nintendo just can't do.

I posted two, thank you very much. This guy is awesome though, and if he's not already working for Nintendo, or doesn't become an employee in the near future, it's solely because he doesn't want to. I wouldn't really want to either, if you think about it. He will be forced to work on what THEY want him to work on, not what he wants to work on. And then we'd be in the same boat, with nothing innovative coming about for the Wii, because Nintendo wants to stick with their tried-and-true formula.

I hope Microsoft hires him so I don't have to buy a Wii but stay with my precious Xbox. Anyway, he's awesome.

I just found out about this guy just now while researching head tracking for work. Anyone know if his site is just down temporarily? I can't reach it at the moment and those videos had me pooping my pants.
This guy is just amazing!

This guy just shows how much potential the Wii has. It just takes a few smart people to make it.
