Recommendations for Wii and/or DS?

Hey, guys. As an early Christmas/birthday present, my uncle picked me up a Wii. As of right now, I have no games for it. My little sister has finally given me back my DS after getting one for her birthday, so I'm wondering if you guys can recommend me some games for the Wii or DS. I like pretty much all genres of games as long as they're good and not based on shitty movies.

Well no it does. But when the wii first came out it was a pretty good game. I actually enjoyed it. The graphics are supposed to be a like a comic book and the controls aren't that bad once you get used to them but now that other GOOD shooters are out I agree.

Get Medal of Honor Heroes 2. 32 player online, free. And mario is great. If you don't have guitar hero 3 thats a must. Those three should last until brawl comes out as long as they are played for length (almost every star, up to hard etc.) I have all three and they are the best games out for the wii right now as I know. If you have not played through resident evil 4 on any other console I recommend getting it. Its fun with the new controls but if you have already played through the game it's not that great anymore.

Red Steel was a pretty good game. The only reason it got horrible review scores was because of the sensitivity (WHICH YOU COULD TURN DOWN FFS). I liked it and almost beat it.

I've got a Wii and some games.

Firstly, I've got Wii Sports. Got it with the Wii, don't know if that's the case where you live. Anyway, Wii Sports is nice to get the hang of the whole Wii-system, but it gets boring soon.
Super Mario Galaxy, a truly awesome game (read my review :fmita:).
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, nice game, nice if you've got 2 controllers.
Super Mario Party 8, meh. Graphics aren't really good and you'll hate most minigames.
Zelda Twilight Princess, good game, very, very good.

Why the hell do people like Zelda so much? It's exactly the same as the N64 game.
It went well with the Wii remote, but I allready used all those weapons on all those enemies in all those places years ago.

And it was overpriced as fuck.

I was going to sell my Wii until I got Resident Evil - The Umbrella Chronicles. Holy fuck that is an Amazing game. It's basically House of the Dead in a Resident Evil universe.

Here's a few quick reviews for the Wii.

Zelda: Twilight Princess is a great game, you should definitely get that.
Guitar Hero 3 is also great, but you'd have to be into music and stuff.
I'm still waiting to get Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which should both be amazing.

Other than them, Mario Party 8 is fun for a while. It would be good if you were having a party obviously, but the single player gets boring quickly. Mario Strikers Charged is good, it's got online play and is entertaining. Call of Duty 3 is fun until you finish the game once, but since it lacks multiplayer and any other game modes, it gets boring.

Twilight Princess (A Must, its a very fun game)
DBZ Tenkaichi Budokai 2 (Best fighter for the Wii)
WarioWare Smooth Moves (Use that Wiimote for crazy shit)
Super Mario Galaxy (I call it my cheer-me-up game because its so happy)

DS:
Animal Crossing (I love this game)
Pokemon Diamond
New Super Mario Bros
Super Mario 64
Legend Of Zelda Phantom Hourglass

I'm sad to say this, but MySims looks freakishly cute if you're into that.

Otherwise...

Wii:
Super Mario Galaxies
Twilight Princess
Resident Evil.

(As you can see, this three games are pretty much top rank for the Wii right now.)

DS:
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Very nice. But old if you've played ALL the versions.
Super Mario 64. Classics Reborn!
New Super Mario Bros. Another classic revamped.

I forgot all about Animal Crossing. I wanted that game so badly for myself for the longest time.

For the DS:Super Mario 64 DS is pretty good.

That game sucked serious man ass. Both of the manhunts blew hardcore. But if you want a shitty game then go on ahead.


And yeah battalion wars is really cool but I suggest a rent because I beat it WAY too fast and their are other games out there now that are pretty good.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympics: Its actually really good. It really fun and some of the missions are quite challenging.
Mario party 8: Yes it can suck but some mini games are really fun. Best party game as well.
WII play: Only get if you need the extra remote. It has a few good games but others are just crap.
