Dreams are in our lives. We are able to recall some of them, so what are some dreams you've had? I can analyze almost any dream.

I've had recurring dreams of being in a house that I know in real life. This can be any house I've been in. I dream that this house house extra rooms or another floor that I've never explored ever.

I also have a common dream of being chased by certain people. The setting and people are always different, but the theme is the same. There is always one person who is nice to me. I don't really remember what happens in the end.

I'm walking at the streets with the love of my life, until the person suddenly have a bicycle and drives away from me, I'm able to follow up, but I run into a wall. The person stops, and waits for me.

Suddenly, we are at a church, walking around. I'm trying to get a conversation with the person, but the only answer I get is "Mmm", and such.

Could you analyze this?

Had a recurring dream years ago when I used to get sick all the time. When I was young I dreaded night time, if I didn't have some distraction, TV, radio on, my mind would be free to wander, and if I thought, even for a second, of getting sick (its kinda hard to NOT think about something) I'd get sick. Weird eh? Well on some nights I'd get sick, but after having this weird dream. Its been a long time since I've last had it but what I remember of it is me and people from where I lived back then. Yet instead of human bodies their colored thingies of energy, I remember playing like a real life or death hide and seek with them and I'd get found everytime, and it was at teh same place, and when I got found, I'd wake up, feeling sick.... Yeah Other than that I can't think of any other recurring dreams I've had.

I had a dream that I gave birth to the Anti-Christ and when I woke up their was a carcass of a dead baby lamb on my bedroom floor. Skinned with it's heart cut out and all.

It seems as if you life is going smoothly with th person. Until they try to settle down their life, you are able to keep with them for a while until you can no longer follow the way that they are doing things. Every time you "fall" they wait for you to help yourself.

Maybe you aren't ready to settle down as they are. The person seems to not be helping you up, just waiting for you to help yourself.

I had this one dream, it was about a friend I teased because of his race.

Well I dreamed that I visited his country right, I found a couple of my classmates to be whores when they grow up :indiff:. I broke a couple of shit in a store and then traveled to a circus where one of my school friends performed when they grew up. A guard saw me and tried to pull me out of the circus for apparently no reason, so I said "WHAT THE FUCK DUDE I GOT MY TICKET, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU PULLING ME OUT, FUCKING STOP" or something similar. He didn't listen I kept backing up until I fell and then he tried to punch me but I kicked all his punches away until he called for back up.

I then ran and found a bunch of police officers to tell them that about the guard, but instead they grabbed me and then I was begging him to let go, but they ignored me and then took me to a KFC restaurant filled with cops and whores. I explained what happened to the cops and then they just spit beer for fun and called the whores and had fun with them while I watched in disgust :indiff:

Yea well they were pretty drunk so I went out of the restaurant and I found my friend (which I was racist to irl) and we were like hugging and greeting each other and stuff. We went inside a shopping complex just to hang out, and suddenly the store began to close and we had to run through a series of moving door slots fast enough or we will be doomed. At the last door it closed to fast and I screamed OPEN THE DOOR, and people insulted me and said no. My friend screamed it in his language and they opened a door, but before it opened it scanned me and at the very last second, it went INVALID AUTHORIZATION or some shit and then I was stuck in the shopping complex.

I knelt down and screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO really loud and then I woke up.

Thats the clearest dream I could remember, and yes, my dreams are fucked.

I had a dream a few days ago where I had this huge 3-story yacht, and a friend of mine was also there. I only remember that it had a TV and some fishing rods. The weird part was that we were sailing around my room and I had to push the walls with my hands not to bump in them.

I'm pretty good at analyzing other peoples' dreams, and sometimes my own as well, but this one has me stumped:

I was an a large auditorium, with everyone I had ever known, met, or even seen across the street more than once in the audience. I was on a raised stage, where there were three large spotlines shining on, but nothing else. I could simultaneously see the audience from the far side of the auditorium (opposite the direction I was facing, looking toward me), a view that was in the middle of the audience looking at me, and from my own real point-of-view. The audience was quiet, save for some random whispering, and there was nothing on stage with me. I stood facing out toward the crowd for a long period of time, and I said nothing. The audience didn't seem to expect me to say anything. Then I walked off stange, went into the audience, and sat down.

That was the whole dream. Any idea?

It may feel like everyone is watching you, having their opinion of you, and you want that opinion to be just for who you are, so you are not acting or speaking. You stand their while people look and decide what they think of you. Then you join them, as your genuine self.

It's not really a dream, but it seems that everytime I have to fight or punch someone in a dream, I can't. My punches are always useless. It's like my fists are so fucking heavy I can't throw them hard enough at the other guy's face. I still manage to punch him, but it will only hurt him as much as a baby punch would.
It's like that in 99% of my dreams when I have to fight. And if I remember correctly, the same thing can be applied when I try kicking someone in a dream.

What the hell does that mean ?

Nex_Nox_Noctus

Wow! That's incredible! That's exactly how I feel!

I'm amazed, you're the first person who's ever attempted to interperet a dream for me, and told me anything that wouldn't be a stretch to fit.

Kudos and thanks! :D :D :D

Nex_Nox_Noctus
08-17-2007, 11:18 AM
Max>> I don't know what I can interperet from that, but I get that effect in my dreams a lot, too. I call it the "marshmellow effect". It's as if I'm encased in an invisible pool of marshmellow, and it's gentley (but effectively) holding me back from any strained physical activity. It sometimes happens to me when I try to run, as well.

I think it has a lot to do with your adrenaline, and how when it's pumping you're thinking a lot faster-- but in your dreams, all of that thinking seems to be diverted to your perception, not your lucid actions. So when you perceive yourself moving more slowly, you then expect the effect to be equally paltry.

Perhaps if you consciously decide while having the dream that your attacks (no matter how slow) are going to cause devestating damage (and really convince yourself that they will), then they will.

On the other hand, it could have a lot to do with self-doubt or low self-esteem.

Yea, coconuts is worth a night.

And MaxAlcolo, I guess that's how everyone feels. You can't really control yourself in dreams, you are like inside yourself, but you are being controlled by the dream. Had a dream like that for 2 days ago, I couldn't hit his head, but after 2 tries, I got him right in the face, and his head fell off.

It's just fucking weird. I do hit the guy everytime or so, but it just does fuck all. It isn't hard to throw a punch either in my dreams, but when I hit the guy, I realise that I didn't punch hard at all. So I try again, but it's always the same thing.
And I've also thougth about that low self-esteem possibility, but I couldn't see why exactly.

The last dream I had that involve such a thing happened like this:
I'm in the subway with my girlfriend, walking out. When we reach the top of the stairs, some random guy calls my girlfriend a slut. So without saying a thing, I punch him in the face, but again it's like I didn't do shit. He's punching me too, and somehow his punches are effective. So after trying to punch him a few times, unsuccessfully, I pushed him down the stairs. He fell down a little bit, and looked at me, shocked. I'm not sure but I think he said something like "Are you crazy or what ?". And it ended like this.
It's like it is always when I attempt to punch someone that it fails.

When you can't do domething in a dream it could possibly be because you are hesitant about something in real life. Like when you are trying to punch someone and you can't, while they can, you may be feeling doubt that you can't defend yourself or stand up for yourself. It may seem like other people can do things that you can't.

Interpretion by request, just put it in your post if you want it.

That's another interesting point. Although I've never ended being beat up in a dream. It's just like I can't punch, he can, and I never really remember how it ends. That's if it does end at all.

When the "enemy" punches me, I somehow know he's doing it correctly, but I'm not feeling any pain and I'm not suffering either. It doesn't stop me from doing anything at all. But I still always know he's punching me "correctly".

That's getting complex, isn't it ?

Mmm not so much I had a seven page dream involving slaying a demon, colors and paralell rooms.

Maybe you feel as if you're not doing things correctly, while others are. m Even though they're doing stuff correctly, maybe they aren't having an effect.

I've had this recurring dream in which I'm somewhere that I frequently visit in real life (such as school, or the movie theater, etc.) and I'm with my friends, and I get shot. I never see my shooter, it's just like my friends and I are enjoying whatever it is we're doing when suddenly I hear screams, and before I can turn around, a bullet hits me in the back, and I collapse. Then the dream ends.

And just as a side note, have any of you ever had a dream where you realize that you're dreaming without waking up?

One dream I had. I pull up at my girlfriends house and i honk and wait for her to come out. I sit for a bit. She comes out shoots me in the chest...*edit* I think I have felt a chest pain before, I don't remember*. I keel over on the steering wheel and with my last vision I see her shoot herself in the head then I fade to black and wake up.

How about that one?

The other day I was in the stage of sleep where you're conscious and kind of know it's a dream. It was like flashing scenes from movies motivating me, such as the terminator and Mr. T. Then I thought, "this is gay" and tried to wake myself up only for it to feel as if my body was incredibly heavy and I couldn't move. I looked around and I was laying on a giant wooden, grainy desk and I heard, "You know, #### hicks road burned down last night..." from a voice that seemed behind my head and I couldn't see. Then as I tried to move a quick low tone said, "save your family" and I gradually was able to move and the desk morphed into my room...

Freaky as hell, every time I tried to go back to sleep after for the next few hours my body started to get all heavy again.

I have a reocurring dream about being in a house that I do not know in real life, yet in the dream, it is familiar to me; I don't really think anything of being there. I am alone, but I feel a presence, or that there is some horrible force chasing me, although all the rooms are well-lit and I see nothing frightening. There are boxes everywhere. I am frantically searching in them all for something, but I don't know what, and the boxes are all empty. I feel that if I don't find whatever it is I'm looking for, I'm going to be found by whatever it is that is chasing me. There is a feeling of terror hanging everywhere. I'll tell you. It means you're ten, and gay. I can tell that you're ten because every experience is new to you, hence being in a house you don't recognise. Further, I can tell that you're gay because you are frantically searching for compartmentalisation and classification, and thus a sense of belonging from the boxes, and yet you refuse consciously to accept it, and this your sub-conscious mind remains unsupported and doesn't know what it's searching for acceptence FOR. However, you know that it is a classification shunned and mocked by society, thus the feeling of terror and being chased.

I could also tell because you posted your dream on an internet forum and you spell like shit. Give me a fucking medal.

I've had some very strange dreams.

I once had a dream when I was a little kid. I was playing with some batman action figures with my friend in the middle of my driveway. Then all of a sudden thunder clouds came, and I saw a giant monster that was half crab, and half of that red-head kid from The Magic School Bus (Wtf?) he was laughing an evil laugh and then I woke up.

Another one I remember was that I was sitting on my couch watching the weather channel and they said a tornado was coming. So I walked down to the mall with a sign saying "A Tornado is coming!" that I randomly found on the ground. No one at the mall listened to me so I sat on the street corner waiting for the tornado. It never came and i woke up.

I occasionally have dreams of me falling from extreme heights that wake me up when i hit the ground with a weird sensation in my legs.

Those are the only real ones worth mentioning.

You can analyze any dream? Alright. Here's one of my most recent interesting ones. Taken from an email, I cut out the first part. It takes place mostly at Western Web, part of our local newspaper. The printing press and bindery machines are there, which is what I operate occasionally.

Eventually I and others had to go go into a sort of classroom thing filled with water, I can't remember many details on that now. Spaghetti seems to have been involved. Then it got interesting. I had to go somewhere to deliver something, but then I went back because I forgot something. There were huge numbers of people at Western Web. It wasn't the usual building, though, it was a giant complex. I went in, and Shawn was there for deliver. I said I had to get to the bindery room, since I had more papers. Eventually I found the breeding chamber for the lizard like aliens that actually ran the complex. They, as well as creepy human servants, stood on higher stage like places throughout the complex. I found their plan, which involved somehow using the sun to get rid of most of humanity and take over the world. I approached one group of aliens, which scared them for a moment. Apparently being a human male is frightening, since we're barbarians. Human and male makes me twice as bad. I ended up with a map, but everyone there was an idiot and it was poorly labeled, so finding the bindery room would prove difficult. Two human security guards joined us. I recognized a few things on the map and found where we needed go; I asked them to help with orientation, since they knew the place better. One of them said he hoped we could hold our breath well, because there was only one good way there- and he pointed to a collection of air ducts, which I assume provide different atmosphere to the aliens. I said 'you can't be serious', both because of the breath holding and the fact that the ducts were smaller than most people. He said, in a wannabe macho way, something about 'let me open this up for you'. He then kicked the pipe, which dented slightly. He did it again a few times and I said, 'uh, we're going to scout up ahead. Good luck with that'. Then we left. We climbed atop the ducts, which had a hard to navigate surface with one part flat, one part not, in a pattern. Also, I took the security guards' weapons. So we jumped on top of a another little structure where soldiers were. I jumped over backwards while firing at them through the grates, killing some in a very unrealistic way. Then I said 'practicing for things as though the Half Life game were going to become reality doesn't seem all that ridiculous now, does it?!'. Eventually we made it to the bindery room. Dream starts to fall apart after that.

So, what does that say about me, dream interpreter?

By the way, I think that most interpretation is crap, as someone who spent a lot of time studying dreams. We can be guides, but no more, the mind is too personal. Also, that study made it so that I don't have nightmares, and that dreams like that above are the standard. They're fun to mess with. Sometimes I also have crazy controls, being able to back up or restart with parameters changed.

Just last night i had a dream i had the ability to change my appearence to any person i thought of. I was at a hotel demonstrating how this could have devastating effects on time travel. For some reason a bunch of kids from my school were there with me in the time machine...which happened to be a big room with blue light. Anyways, I finished my demonstration and walked out looking like the kid from the Benchwarmers (curly red haired kid) and my friend tried to go down these stairs on a sled while eating a hamburger and did a full backflip. You can try to analyze this but I don't think it means anything.

Some parts of it are recurring (the missing schedule, basically).
It was the first day of school and I was the only person who didn't get their OFFICIAL class schedule (we don't get them in the mail). This happens EVERY TIME I dream about school. So I went to the assistant principal's office and it was more like a swamp, but with waterfalls and a glass path leading towards her office. I got my schedule, but when I walked outside of her office I saw my ex and the guy I like now. I have absolutely NO feelings for my ex left, by the way. After I saw him, I ran away, fast. I went to my first class, and every computer in it had a horrible virus, and I was expected to fix it, but I couldn't figure it out.
That's all I can remember.

And there's another one where for some reason, I moved in with one of my friends. We got drunk and had sex. That was really all that happened, and then I woke up.

Had a few weird dreams last night, here they are:

I was in the living room with family, and the person I love was there sitting next to me. My mum wanted to take a picture of us both together, but the other person was reluctant to get the picture taken (much to my dissapointment) but eventually agreed, which made me smile.

Another:

I broke my cellphone recently, dropped it in a pint and I had this dream that I was in some kiddies soft play area thing. I found a pair of trousers, and in the pockets were 3 or 4 of the same cellphone that I broke. I took them and walked out of the place with my pockets buldging. Woke up after that.

Would be nice of you to analyze these when you get the time, I find this stuff pretty interesting!

When I was 7 or 8 I had a dream, woke up, fell back asleep and the dream picked up right where it left off. I woke up again after a while, fell back asleep, and the dream picked up where it left off again. Then again. Then I took my blankets and moved into my parents' room and fell asleep on the floor. The cycle of waking up and having my dream resume at the exact same point continued, for a total of six "chapters" spread across two different sleeping locations.

It was one of those dreams where the imagery that's stuck with me is more vivid than any description, so I'll just say it took place on a small island with a waterfront motel surrounded by other similar islands and Grand Canyon-like cliffs, and the plot was basically a tornado heading towards us from the water that turned out to be an illusion by the end of Chapter 6. (I tracked the progress of the dream through each chapter primarily by the progress of the tornado.)

Has anyone else ever had a dream that picked up where it left off after you fell back asleep? Or the same dream twice in one night, with minor mundane details changed, like the paint colour on the walls?

I have the lamest dreams, luckily I almost never remember them. Seriously, last night I had a dream that I was filling out a job application at my kitchen table. Yesterday during the day in real life, my dad got me that said application and it is currently sitting on my kitchen table. How lame is that?! Nothing cool or out of the ordinary from my actual life happened! A few weeks ago I had this dream were me and my dad were for some reason driving to LA, even though we live in New England, the opposite side of the country, and on the highway going into the city there was a KKK protest that we had to drive through and I wanted to jump out and basically kick all there asses and save the day, but my dad had to hold me back or something. Yet at the same time I was terrified because they were randomly pulling people out of their cars an fighting them and I was afraid they were going to take my dad. Yeah, go ahead and laugh away.

And jewish, that has happened to me before. That used to happen all the time when I was younger and remembered my dreams almost always.

Stuff

Most people have dreams like this, but they don't register. Or so I believe. Many dreams don't register, and it seems to me that it may largely be because they blend with normality so well. The blackness of sleep is also something people don't remember. Unless you study and experiment with dreams and sleep too much, lucidity and otherwise. That's resulted in me remembering dreams similar to yours (normal), and one horrible, horrible night of having an active consciousness during the blackness between dreams. Took me forever to find a way out of it.

I frequently have dreams where im in a swimming pool/at the beach, in the water. I start spinning myself round, just for fun, but then cant stop, and have to struggle to get my head above water to breathe. Often family or friends are there, but i cant get their attention.

Also there was that one where I had sex with a cat...

And wow, I'm sure that wasn't fun, Calasen. Thats like the sort of thing that only happens in bad dreams...wait...shit, now i look stupid :(

You can analyze any dream? Alright. Here's one of my most recent interesting ones. Taken from an email, I cut out the first part. It takes place mostly at Western Web, part of our local newspaper. The printing press and bindery machines are there, which is what I operate occasionally.

[Blah blah, bullshit about a dream.]

So, what does that say about me, dream interpreter?

I see...I see...no! Egads! Great goodness, blithering blast-ended skrewts! Great omens are ahead of you - seek shelter, poor child, I'm afraid your at the end of your days! The newspaper prints only the guidelines of your own demise!

By the way, I think that most interpretation is crap, as someone who spent a lot of time studying dreams. We can be guides, but no more, the mind is too personal.

With that attitude I suggest you get out of my classroom, Miss Granger.

That must suck. Struggling to breathe, especially while drowning, seems like about as frightening as something can get. If you can get the dreams mentioned to coincide, though, you should be able to break even- you know, bad with the drowning, good with the cat.

Here's a dream I had last week. I was sitting on a toilet in a stall in some building. The walls were really shiny metal, and I was just sitting there for some reason. Then the door kind of turns into a wall, and the little areas of space below the stall fill with metal, creating a rather mushy metal wall. Then, small bumps appear on the wall. They're also metal, and they come out rather slowly. At first, I figure that a bump's a bump, and I might as well let it be. Then they all seem to take the shape of really long metallic penises. At this point, I became distressed and woke up.

I know, it sounds stupid, but I can't find "metallic dildos coming out of a wall" in my dream book.

It either means you have fear of massive amounts of penises and dildos and whatever other insertables come to mind, or (more likely) a desire for such. Or just one certain cybernetic phallic attachment; also, the occasional report like this is exactly why being a dream therapist could be interesting. You know, in case this fear/desire needed to be explored. With cybernetic penises.

Gee. Tell me something I don't know. I'm used to cramming stuff up my 'chute. I'm gay. :facts2:

I wish it was something really interesting like a weird obsession with using the bathroom or something. Oh,

My office is boring on weekends..

I ALWAYS have nightmares. I used to get ones where I'd be in water, alone, and I'd be trying to swim, and my arms and legs would work, but it had NO effect on the water, no ripples no movement, as if I wasn't even IN the water, but I'd keep sinking and sinking and there was never a bottom. Eventually I'd start holding my breath in my sleep and wake up gasping. Freaky shit. Haven't had one of those in a while, but now it's almost the same thing but more violent. It's like somehow I drive or fly or climb up to a ridiculous height, so I'm in the clouds, and then the ground drops out from under me and I'm freefalling, and it's the fucking scariest experience ever because I don't wake up until I hit the ground.
I have dreams where I commit the most violent acts too, cutting people into pieces etc..
I've also had dreams about getting raped, but I already have an explanation for those so don't bother. I'd like to know about the falling/sinking dreams though.

Alright, well i had a pretty messed up dream this morning. Well, not so much as a dream. The odd thing was i was half awake and i was aware that i was awake. i think its becuase i was sick and was on a buffet of cold medicines or maybe its my weird imagination, but anyways, the dream. Im lieing in bed and all of a sudden I kind of start building a imaginary telescope in my mind (im awake, and i start fiddling with a invisible telescope) and as soon as i look into my invisble telescope i see this whole other parralex. I saw people with upside down faces, Butts on there front and enormus hips. I don't know why the hips was in there but oh well, its a dream. so just as i see all these people i finally go to sleep. it was like the opposite of a dream, like a half awake-half asleep dream, by far the weirdest dream ive ever had. Or should i say Anti-Dream?

Can you interpert mine
Last night I had a dream, and in it I wanted to be a surrogate mother, but didnt want to give up a kid after carrying it for 9 months.
Then, I got pregnant with twins and thought "Great!, now I can give one away to
someone who cant have kids, and keep the other!"
Then I was walking uo town and talking to this girl whos parents couldnt have children, and all the cars and shops were painted all crazy because it was Christmas.

Weird, because I dont intend to ever become a surrogate mother.

I don't really remember what happens in the end.

so how would you interpret sex-dreams?

You just bumped a six month old thread. For that?

And by the way, if you want to interpret your dreams, asking random internet kids is probably not a good idea.

If you are serious about uncovering truths behind your dreams, then read Interpreting Dreams by Sigmund Freud.

Dreams? I had a scary experience... one time, I drempt I was REALLY high, and I got high the next day. Scary! Just kidding, but dreams can strangly interprit things to come. One day on the first night of camp (one week of camp) I had a dream of eating 5 cupcakes, while doing the macarena, and the cupcakes had pink frosting. One fucked up dream.. but still 5 days later, I went to the end of camp DANCE and I met my now girlfriend, whos favorite color is PINK... strange much?

Dream that you are walking, then fall down a small hole, jerking your knee. This sometimes causes your leg to spasm and wake you up.

Freud's a hack. I'm sure 90% of his interpretations are based around that unrequited sexual lust that we have for our elderly neighbors.

I have the weirdest dream ever, frequently. It happens as I'm falling asleep, but just before I'm there.

Basically, it's 10 seconds long. There's a TV with noise all over the screen, I'm getting closer and closer to the screen until my nose is just about to touch the glass. Then it flashes white and I wake up to find my eyes actually hurting.

Yeah...I know

I hardly ever remember my dreams. But just yesterday I dreamed that Anna Farris started an online TV show thing that just had her jumping up and down, topless, for 3 mins. I don't think there's very much to read into for that one.
