View Full Version : Needing some good DS games.

Well, I'm going on a trip. That means time in the car, which is essentially horrible. So I'm gonna bring my DS along. THAT MEANS I need to find a fun game to play whilst in the car.

Anyone know any good DS games? I have Animal Crossing, Mario 64 DS, Phoenix Wright 2, Pokemon Diamond, Elite Beat Agents, Brain age, Pac Pix, Trauma Centre, and Warioware.

I was thinking *POSSIBLY* Rune Factory, and maybe Touch the Dead.

Metroid Prime is a pretty decent game though it gets frustrating at times.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Meteos, New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart DS and Meteos are all great games. Meteos is especially good for trips.

Don't get Touch The Dead. I somehow (I don't remember) got a podcast on it and there was a huge review on how hard and pointless it is.

I'd tell you the good games but you got most. Oh, if you like racing games, get Burnout.

Puzzle Quest is a pretty unique RPG if your into that.

I heard that the difficulty was what made the game fun. That you'll seriously have to work to pass levels.

And Shmuh... you're an RPG nerd and you have no Final Fantasy III for your DS? I'm disappointed in you.

Mario Kart. It is a must have for any DS owner.

Just buy an R4DS and put all the roms of the games you need on it for a low low price...

That is... if you don't mind breaking the law.

Definitely get Mario Kart DS. One of my favorite games on the DS.
Final Fantasy III is also a good game, although it's a lot of grinding. Keeps you preoccupied though :P.

Okay, I bought Final Fantasy III. Hopefully that'll keep my occupied. :fmita:

Keep naming games, though. I wanna see what other games I should probably pick up.

Buy Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros., Yoshi's Island DS, and Mario vs Donkey Kong 2. If you can't get them all at once get them in that order, better game to worst game. Even though none of those games are bad by any means, it's just that Mario Kart DS is the best, and can keep you occupied for vast amounts of time.

Ya Mario Vs Donkey Kong 2 is good.
If you like puzzle games and making your own maps.

FF III is so addictive. I don't think I've played the original version, but this one is great. Don't like how the story is so thin, though.

Thinking of getting Mario Kart, Castlevania, or new Super Mario Bros. D:

Yeah, FF4 was the first one with a decent storyline. But then again, games were more about gameplay back then.

Advanced Wars:Duel Strike is a great game for the DS. When i had mine that just about all i played, besides FF3.
