I realize I'm a little late, as the wild card of the playoffs has already been played, but I figure we should have a thread for this, as I know there are a lot of football fans on the forums. I already had my little prediction bracket up, unfortunately I'm not perfect this year. :(
I only had this written on a piece of paper, so I found a suitable chart online, deleted all the old shit, and remade my picks on this bracket. As you can see, I had Washington going a bit further than they did.. Otherwise, my picks have been perfect so far, and I think they'll be accurate all the way through.

So, who do you think is going all the way, and who's going all the way.. home, disappointed?
Green Bay? I say dallas vs. New England. As much as i hate the Patriots, I think they are going to win it all. Also, San Diego over Indianapolis?

I'm hoping Dallas goes all the way. I live near Dallas so they're my team.

I almost agree with all your picks except for Sand Diego over Indy, there is no way a one dimensional team is going to beat the Colts man. I take Pats over Colts in the AFC Championship, and Pats in the Superbowl.
To Fugga's comment, Green Bay is the better team of the two, Farve is playing like a man possessed this year, and the Cowgirls won't be able to handle him. With the help of Ryan Grant on the ground game the Cowgirls don't stand a chance.

I'm not expecting Seattle to beat Green Bay, but damnit, I'm going to hope. New England is going to the Super Bowl I think.

I think the Colts are going to have trouble because of the injuries on their defense, and Peyton Manning's instability in the playoffs. Granted, he doesn't choke nearly as much as Eli, but it happens more often than with most quarterbacks. Plus, the Colts have never been all that great against the run. Also, I don't think Tony Romo has the wherewithal yet to survive in a playoff game against a veteran team like the Packers.

That's assuming he chokes. Rivers just won his first playoff game ever, he isn't going to have the experience that Manning does. Should be a good game though. I actually wouldn't be surprised if the Giants upset the Cowboys, Eli played pretty well again a solid defense, so I wouldn't count them out just yet.

Hey Spastic Colon guess what. :douchecock: San Diego won today, after losing Tomlinson early and Rivers later in the game. So far all my picks are correct, though the Giants-Cowboys game isn't over yet, and I have a better feeling about my Giants than I did when I made my picks. :frown:
Anyway, if Rivers and Tomlinson are out for too long, they may as well just hand the win to New England.

Yeah I know I saw that, fucking pissed me off how the Colts were playing. I hate San Diego so much, me being an Oakland fan and all. Still though, all the playoff games so far have been great games! Especially the Giants game!
I didn't see the Giants game but it sounded good(sounded, because i was in the mall near a sports bar)

I don't know much about American football, but I know most the rules from playing Madden. If New England are still on their long run I think they'll win. I've an American friend and he loves the Patriots so I want them to win.
Is the NFC and the AFC just East ans West or what?

The two conferences are not divided by geography. They simply represent what was originally two different football promotions. The NFL was the original brand of American football to hit it big, and the AFL was formed some time later by owners that didn't want to or couldn't buy into an NFL franchise. Down the line, due to commercial opportunity mostly, the two leagues had a NFL vs AFL championship game and called it the "Super Bowl".
Eventually both leagues formed the NFL, which is made up of the original NFL teams, the NFC and the original AFL teams, the AFC. Both sides have grown due to expansion teams over the years.
I'm sure you can get a complete history at http://nfl.com.
I honestly don't follow football, but it's always nice when the home team makes it somewhere, and currently the Patriots are doing just that, so I'm gonna root for them and hope for the best.
From the games I caught, the Pats didn't do too bad.

I guess you could say that, you know with them having a perfect season and all.
I told my friend that I would wear a Giants Jersey if they won the super bowl. I'm a Jets fan but i hate the patriots more than i dislike the Giants.
Seeing how I live in New York, I want the Giants to win the Super Bowl. Plus I'm sick of the Patriots going to the Super Bowl nearly every other year.

I could not believe the end of the game on Sunday. My roommate and I had some people over for a little playoff party. She was the only Giants fan in the room, the rest of us just sat in shock staring at the tv. I'm not all too bummed considering my team didn't make the playoffs (the Bills, surprise surprise). Anyways I would love to see the Giants take the Pats in the Superbowl, however unlikely it is. I really can't stand Brady.

I don't particularly like either of the teams, but I'd rather the NFC win.
YOU'D BETTER WIN NEW YORK.

Let's go Giants! Hopefully they won't count eye gouges as delay of game, and when Plaxico gets raped, they will actually throw a flag.
