Anyone planning to pick it up? Thoughts? I think it looks pretty cool.

I've been trying to avoid buying new games all together, but for this I might make an exception, I'm such a sucker for Dinosaurs.

The original was kinda lame :ahe:

I liked the very first N64 Turok.
It's sequels were very suck though and I never gave the GC/XB/PS2 one a chance.

I'll see how this goes.

Turok 64 scared the fuck outta me! I might pick this up though.

I mean it does look pretty great how many games do you get to stab dinosaurs in the head? And you can make them attack your enemies I can see myself never shooting in this game.

It looks really awesome to me.. Like Counterstrike: Source with better graphics and motherfuckin' dinosaurs. I might rent it though, based on the quality of the other Turok remake. Don't want to drop money if it's going to be as big a pile as that one was.

Definitely interesting but definitely not worth the 60 bucks it's gonna cost. At least it doesn't look like it's worth it. I can be proven wrong but I got to save my money for a lot of stuff.

I like a lot of Turok games, but they seem to always be hit and miss, no middle ground whatsoever. I will probably pick this game up in hopes it resembles, even in the slightest, that of the N64 game.

Turok 2 -Seeds of Evil was very, very good, but don't pick up Turok - Gc/Xb/Ps2, that might very well put you off Turok, first person shooters or even living it was that bad

I remember playing Turok 2 all the time.

I'm defiantly going to pick up this game.

Don't, not unless you want a game where you can kill absolutely everything in one hit, which is terribly easy to do, with a knife. I got a demo of it and realized a minute in that I didn't even need any of the generic guns they had given me. And apparently this isn't jsut how it goes for the first little bit, the whole game can be played using only the knife. Rental at best.

Really I grew up playing Turok 1 and 2 for the N64 and it wasn't shit. When Turok Evolution came out I rented it, and of course it wasn't shitty at first. The story was, and of course the guns. But still pretty violent.

Well if that's all you're looking for I can safely say that the amount of blood is in no short supply.

I like it just because looking at the previews Turok has the same haircut and bodybuild as me! Besides that the similarities between us arent that much because he looks much more bad a than me. All in all Id say the game looks great and is an option for me.

Where did you get the demo? :hmm: I looked in Xbox Live Marketplace for it and couldn't find it, and I'd really like to play it.

It's on XBL everywhere except North America.

Why the fuck do they do that to us?! We don't get shit next to the other countries.

As for Turok, I might rent it, but prolly not buy unless I hear people are jerking off to it. Wasn't a real big fan of the game I played for the Xbox, and I don't have the fanboyism to push me onto purchase.

I played the demo, and it was kinda fun fighting dinos. I probably wont buy it though.

From the OXM, it had 3 extra rock band songs that you can't get anywhere else so I picked it up and then noticed that it had a turok demo as well as a few others on it too.

The thought of a Disney subsidiary producing this game doesn't sound too convincing to me.

The demos on XBL, i wasn't too impressed.
It somewhat captured the spirit of the original but it was defiantly to be more like Halo and especially Gears of War.
It almost reminded me of how much I want UT3 to come out for 360.(With user content)

I remember Turok on the 64. Some fun times playing that one. I'll try the new one sooner ot later but it'll never beat the oldies.

He barely reviewed the game but rather reviewed modern FPS shooter games in general.

No he did, like with them ripping off aliens and how they had to really try

This game was entertaining, but really only worth renting. I'm a HUGE dinosaur nut (*points at name*) and had fun knifing raptors, but I wouldn't have paid the $50-60 to own this game. It's pretty damned easy (Instant kill with the knife on 90% of the enemies) and had a paperthin storyline at best, but it DID have dinosaurs and explosions.

Search google for ZeroPuntuation. Find Turok on the site. Sums it up as far as I'm concerned...

They should have named this game Fucking Dissappointment instead of Turok.
