So I ordered a 360 last night and I was originally planning on just plugging up my 360 to a laptop and running the laptop as a wireless router with some tweaking (which I know is possible as I have set it up before). However That is a hassle because the laptop is unuseable during this time, and one of my friends usually uses it while someone will play the console. I have a wii right next to where the 360 will be setup and someone brought great idea to my attention today at school. He suggested that I buy a usb to ethernet cable and just plug it up to the wii. However those cables cost a good 30 bucks so I was wondering if it would work to do that or if the wii does not have the hardware/software to perform such a task.

The cable would look like this,

And if this is improbable or simply may cause lag I'll just route it all through my laptop. But it would be cool to not have a stupid cable running across the room.

Edit: Yes it is a USB thing I said cable before I found that.

Alright so I just found out that these cables are relatively cheap but I am still unsure as to whether it will function or not. I now know that the wii can output a signal as well as far as hardware. But does it have the software to access that component like a computer?

I'd keep the Wii out of the loop and connect your 360 through your laptop when it becomes available. I've always avoided having anything else using the internet when I'm trying to play onlineag is the worst thing in gaming is Lag. Is there any reason your 360 can't connect to your Router directly?

Well yes I am aware of that however The 360 would be recieving the wireless signal FROM the wii. I am just not sure if the wii is capable of transmitting the signla to the console.
