After a couple years of Geoff Barrow saying "yeah we're making a new album soon seriously guys" it was finally confirmed complete on the 21st of this month and the release date of April 14th was announced on the 23rd.
From their website: (http://www.portishead.co.uk/news.php)
"We're pleased to announce that we'll be releasing our album, titled THIRD. on April 14th 2008.
The album has 11 tracks and is 49 minutes 13 seconds long."
Will it be a killer or a filler? Now if its anything at all like the tracks currently on their myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/PORTISHEADALBUM3) then people will surely dissapointed (although these were dismissed by Barrow as "doodles" that won't be on the new album about five hundered years ago). Considering that this is their first studio release in 11 years I'm definitely expecting something different to the other two albums.
