Psychonauts is a platform video game created by Tim Schafer (known for several LucasArts adventure games such as Grim Fandango and the first two Monkey Island games), developed by Double Fine Productions and published by Majesco. The game was first released on April 19, 2005 for the Microsoft Xbox, and has subsequently been ported to the Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows; it has also been released on the Steam platform.

This game has to be one of the best single player games ever made. For that I give it a rating of: :heya::heya::heya::heya::heya:

The game starts out with the main character (Raz) going through training to become a Psychonaut. Now I don't want to spoil the story too much for those who have not played the game yet, but here are a few of the things you will encounter while playing this game. A Dentist who sucks out brains, an old man who is summoned out of your head by a piece of bacon, and adult men pretending to be housewives.

So now the you have just the teeniest glimpse of the story, I will tell you one thing, this game is fucking hilarious, I was laughing throughout the entire game, I mean literally belly laughing.

Down to the controls, they are not exactly perfect, but they are in no way horrid. Changing Psy-moves can be a bit of a hassle because you have to go through the menu everytime you want to do so, but all in all it blends nicely.

The gameplay is nothing short of excellent, all the environments are unique, and challenging. With newer and funnier jokes inside everyones brain.

All in all if you have yet to play this game, get it off of steam for like 20 bucks you cheap bastard, it is well worth the money. How this game did not become larger than life, I will never know.

This is basically my favourite game ever. The dialogue is what makes this game, but the gameplay, plot, everything is just superb.

My only problem with it is the length. You could probably speed through the game in about 10 hours, although I don't know why anyone would want to miss out on all the extra scenes and dialogue and whatnot. I can spend hours on end just talking to the G-Men.

Great game, hilarious and innovative, but too short. Can't wait for 2 (there's no way they won't).

They might not, I don't think this game sold all too well. I guess that'll show game developers to be funny and refreshing.

One thing I have to add is I don't think I ever had as much fun in any other game than I did when you go into the fish city and destroy everything like some sort of Godzilla. The fish sending the army and everything after you was pretty cool in my book.

Alright this game is really entertaining. I am in the middle of the milkman level I just finished getting the phone and I must say it has been one of the weirdest and entertaining experiences ever. I have gotten a little annoyed by those mini bosses though.

So I beat the game just now, and I must say though I did love this game, one of the last parts of meat circus made me so frustrated!! The one where you are avoiding the water and jumping around and crap. I kept falling while on the fences because it wouldn't let me double jump!!
