So I'm thinking of starting my own web comic. I've come up with an idea and wanted some opinions before I started it up. Its called Caped Capers and is about everyones favourite superheroes all doing loads of crap to each other on their summer off from saving the world.
Below I've made a poster for the comic and a test comic to see how the feeedback is. If I end up making it, sorry it won't have bad language or crude jokes or anything because I'll be telling my teachers about it so it will to go towards my schoolwork. Also, I had to link them because there quite big:

Is the art good? Is the joke decent (for a clean one)? Are the character designs any good? Please tell me what you think of it and anything I could add or improve.
PS. Another thing I should probably tell you guys is that if I do make my comic it will be on a freewebs site as I can't get a real website for tons of reasons, but I hope if I do make it and you guys decide to take a look at them that'll be OK. ^_^

I liked the joke and the art was okay. Seems like a pretty cool concept.
One thing, save your work as a png instead of a jpg. It makes it a lot clearer.
Definately try png instead, and also, if any way possible, try some other program other than paint. The concept is quite decent.

Yeah. I wanted to use flash but I already used up my free trial. I have full flash but it's for mac and I got rid of my mac computer a bit ago. When I can afford it though I'm gonna buy flash for my Ms laptop.
Also about the png thing actually the comic was supposed to save as a png but it probably clicked the wrong one by mistake soz.

I like. The art''s good and the joke was decent. As for character designs, the only one that looks a little weird to me is the Hulk. His feet look like paws. But yea, nice work.

Yeah I though the exact same thing. Probably because everyone else has twigs for limbs LOL.

This any better? (I couldn't think of a better way to do the legs so I just did them the same way I do the rest of the characters' legs)

Art is Okay, I laughed at the first one. I like this comic, I say you should make more.

The test comic actually made me laugh, good job there.
You should download a trial of Flash, definately. Your comics would look better with the quality and such.
Thirdly, are your comics saved as .pngs? That makes it a better quality.
Fourthly, yeah, why not, go ahead and make a freeweb. I'd recommend www.piczo.com.

Go ahead with this project. Your art is good and from other comics you have made you are quit funny. If you release comics I would happily read them.

That was really good for not having any profanity or anything
I would definitely read it if you made more

Hey guys.
Thanks for all your great advice and comments. I'm glad everyone likes the idea.
Now, spartacus mentioned Piczo, which is a different idea to the freewebs that I had originally planned to make my comics in. So what does everyone think? Should I put them in a piczo site or a freewebs site?
(Also, to everyone who has suggested that my comics work better in flash, don't worry because I got a PM from Ox explaining an easier way to get it so I'm working on that and will let you know when and if I manage to get it)

Loved the test comic, I like the art. You should definately go through with the webcomic
I'd suggest freewebs.

Aquired Flash (great thanks to Ox for the help).

Look any better? I'm a flash beginner so sorry for the bumps and having to mostly use clean shapes (lines, circles and rectangles).

Idea has potential but I didn't like the art and the comic wasn't funny

Spiderman's mask does have blue on it.
The art is good otherwise.
I'm Excited! (In other words, it seems pretty good.)
I like your art. The flash stuff seems a definite improvement. I think the humour needs a bit more dry wit, with an unexpected twist.
A good reference would be Rob's C&H stuff, in my opinon.

I think I know what you mean, and I agree, so don't worry, I'll weave that into some of my comics. By the way guys, I'm still getting a feel for flash, but just to let you know, I've started making the website for the comics. There aren't any comics on there yet but I've created a forum and am getting it in good shape. When I start using flash and making my comics smoothly and easily, I'll reveal the site adress and tell you what day I'll start posting the comics.

Hey guys!
Just to inform you about the comic. Now, I did start making some of the comics, but the characters were taking a little too long to make, so I've made them a bit simpler, so from some inspiration from Kirby, will now be drawing the characters like this:

This is just an example of what the characters will look like. I'll keep you informed on further develpments.

I like this. Simple, but you know who it is. The art is smoother than the old version.

Master Chief isn't really a super hero :ahe:

He's a supersoldier and a hero, though. Also Spider-Man's mask has no blue on it.

Yeah, I noticed that when i was looking at pictures of him but the only part of him showing is his mask and it ould look kinda boring if it was just red. Plus, I think, because they are now just heads and can sometimes be hard to tell who's who, it helps you recognise him better as he is both red and blue.
And yeah, about the master chief thing, I am gonna make some characters that aren't superheroes, but are just cool heroes, maybe like Rambo and stuff.

He could be Ninja Spiderman (http://image.comicvine.com/uploads/item/8000/7606/2590-deadpool_400.jpg) :fmita:
Make another comic already!

I'm putting my other comics on my website. Once I've worked out all the bugs and got a head start on the comics I'll release the web address.

Hey guys.
I wanted to keep the ball rolling on this whole Caped Capers project, so here I've designed a Caped Capers Avatar and Signature.
Avatar
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff197/GX248/CapedCapersAvatar.png
Signature Banner
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff197/GX248/CapedCapersBanner.png
You can see I'm using both at the moment LOL, but you could use them for other forums or as backgrounds or something. If you do use the banner as a siggy, you'll probably have to load it by browsing through your pictures rather than typing an address in the URL bar because as you can see, it's a lot bigger than the 450x50 limit.
Art is nice, but if you plan on using Flash, don't gradate the colors, keep them simple like your first two. Spiderman was a little hard to look at, but it's designs are nice. By the way, if you're successful with your comic web, you can try and get some fundings to build your own website.

I think your lines are way too thick. But other than that, looks good!

Classic, really good especially The Zelda one (I'm a fan myself) but again yeah lines are quite thick.

Lines are alright. Link looks really good to me. Shield has perfect detail.
