A turn based strategy game, on of the best I have ever played. The game now has 4 installments the most recent being Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. On the DS it has great game play and keeps interest for a lot longer than it should. The game has COs (commanding Officers) all with unique abilities, up attack of ground units, up defense of ground units, increase range, etc. And a CO power, a super power that in the old games changed the direction the battle was taking, this is apparently undermined in the new game. T which are the game has properties that build units capturable, and come in number by map. The game has a number of different units all with different properties. And the new game is online compatible. i was hoping maybe ti get some sort of game group or something. I highly reccomend the game I am getting the new one tommorrow and will have more about the specifics of the new game then. FOr now,

I love the advanced wars games, they are some of the most amazing war strategy games. I love how terrain and weather effect everything.

I don't have a DS but I want to play the new ones.
I like the iconic characters, like how everyone's a charicature of how they play and talk. They all dress in ridiculous extravagant ways and everyone carries on like it's normal.

This is also what I love about fighting games like Street Fighter and Guilty Gears.
Also, fuckin adorable tanks.

Like the 10-year-old commander (http://www.ugo.com/images/galleries/advancewarsdaysofruin_games/advancewarsdaysofruin_25.jpg) or scantly clad women during arctic winters.
Also there's like two or three hundred maps. I got the game last November and still haven't gotten through all of them. Not to mention the neat map making tools.

Hells yeah, those are the best type of iconic characters.

I like how maps carry over from the famicom's to today's games.
