Devil May Cry 4

So I downloaded a demo off XBL and it was pretty fun.
Due to having a lack of a PS2 and this being the first in the series to cross over to a other platform, I had never played a DMC game before.

The game releases on the 5th of Feb. in North America, on the 7th in Austrialia, and on the 8th in Europe.

I'll probably end up picking it up because I liked the combat system in the demo, plus I'll see what I can do about playing the past games.

I downloaded the demo too. The game is going to be great. The gameplay runs smooth and some of the battles (the huge fire demon) are freaking epic.

As far as getting the old ones, if you somehow get your hands on a PS2 try to buy the Devil May Cry Trilogy pack. It's only about $30 for all 3 DMC games. If you just want to play one you can find them used for a pretty good price. I remember seeing the first Devil May Cry for $8 at Gamestop.

I picked up the first three games yesterday, haven't started them yet but I'm planning on picking up the forth on its release date, I'm just hoping that this isn't as hard as the third!

I don't have a 360, but the videos I've seen of that demo look motherfuckin incredible.

I heard they're making the fourth one easier, because everyone was complaining the third one was too hard. Also, if you're finding the third one hard (You certainly should be), just keep dieing. It'll give you the option to play on Easy mode. Easy mode's still hard, but it won't drive you insane.

Everyone says number 1's the best, but I thought it was mega boring, and alot slower than the other two. Also, the last part was completely random :indiff:

I can't wait for this installment. I absolutely love the Devil May Cry series. I'm with Smelly though, I didn't think DMC1 was the best one, I really enjoyed DMC3 more so than any of the others, but DMC2 came close to being my favorite.

I have yet to play the demo, but I'll have to get it sometime just to see what is new.

The only thing I don't like about this is that it's supposed to be a dark game with an evil kind of atmosphere, but sega made it way too colorful and almost "happy" looking graphic-wise.

Yeah I fuckin love these games, there's nothing like em. The best part though is how hillariously bad the voices are.

That's pretty fucking badass if true. I know what you mean about the voice acting though, the beginning movie to Devil May Cry 3 comes to mind.

Also it looks like this is being released for the PC as well, now I really can't wait!

DMC is a great game series, and I really wish my xbox was working so I could actually get the demo for fourth one. But I've played the first one and it was the hardest game I've ever played. I couldn't get past (I think) The third or fourth level.

But DMC3 was fairly easier. What I don't get is how people actually complained about the dificultly level. I had to switch to easy mode for DMC1 and I still found trouble, but I've played through medium mode on DMC3 and had little resistance. It was just a fun game in general.

I can't wait for DMC4 to be released.

DMC 3 wasn't that hard, and people complained? I didn't know that. I remember DMC1 being quite hard, but i got up to the Dante must die mode, and that was impossible.

I thought DMC 2 was quite easily the worst one. It was terrible in my opinion, i'm just glad they saved themselves with the 3rd.

I heard you can't play as Dante in the 4th however, is that true? That would suck if it was.

I heard that you mainly play as the new guy, but there are parts in the game that you would play as Dante.
