Another custom shoe from your pal Jason! These ones took a LONG ASS time. About 20 hours to be exact. Usually, my customs are paint and some fabric but with these, I wanted to go all out in the fabric department. So, I bring you my Grunge Rockers. I only used one fabric on this job; denim. I bleached it, burned it, frayed it, sanded it, cut it, etc. I wanted to get a grungy/messy/dirty look and I think I've got that covered. Please tell me what you think like always! You will either love them or hate them as I'm starting to realize from other websites.

Thanks for looking guys!
I love the idea of custom nike dunks.. But I don't know how I feel about these ones. I saw the other ones and they were pretty sick.
I don't know how I feel about these though, I'd have to see them on with an outfit
Yeah, I agree. These are alright, but I don't really like the look of denim with the black shoes. The blue and black doesn't look that great.
It just looks more like blue and white chalk on a chalkboard than denim. But that's what you were going for right? And how would other colored laces look on them?
And where are you getting these nike's from ? Are you experimenting on shoes you payed full price for?
EDIT: The close up looks better, it might just be the picture
EDIT2: I like how it looks before you burned it, the first behind the scenes picture

Yeah, basically I was going for a really grungy/messy look on purpose. Don't ask me why, just an idea that came to me.
I'm just buying the Nike's from my local Nike Factory Outlet store. I'm really not "experimenting" because I draw up a design concept and plan for quite a while before I even start on anything. Yes, I'm paying full price.
The picture really doesn't do justice. If you were standing near them, you'd see how the colors match better, the frayed edges look somehow factory made, etc.
Thanks for the feedback though guys. I'm not expecting everyone to like them :)

I agree, I like the look before it was burned, but it looks.. unfinished, without the burns and such. Of course, that's probably because it IS, but yeah. I didn't like these as much as the other two, but they're still pretty damn awesome, and quite a bit more impressive as they show you can do this in different mediums.
Also, I think it's interesting that you burned the denim ON the shoes. Personally if I did something like this I would have done it off, it might be risky to do it with the base shoe underneath.

Well, I can't think of any other "safe" place to burn it off the shoe. I would have to hold it in my hand or put it on the concrete or something. Then I would risk burning places that I didn't actually want burned. If I burned them on the shoe, I could see exactly how they would turn out. Also, denim doesn't catch fire very easily. Go ahead and take a lighter to your jeans, It takes about ~20 seconds to actually burn them but even longer to catch them on fire. I think it's some sort of chemical the companies use on the outside because, the inside of the jeans burn a lot quicker.

Damn man, I never come short of amazed on how you do with these. Another great job! This design is not my favorite you have done, but you still a great job. Have you charged other people for this service yet? Or is it just a pastime?

These are not as good as your others, but they are still fucking fantastic. I love that jeans look.

Not your best Custom Kick. I preferred your Nike Bangers.
Are you into design at all? Or is it random piss-abouts?

Yes, I've charged people for this service before. I love making shoes for myself though, because then I actually know what I want rather then a vague explanation from a client.

I used to do web design and such but I found it boring after a while. I still draw/paint/make music/customize shoes. I wouldn't say they're piss-abouts, I put a lot of time and planning into them and I plan to make a career in art or music in the near future. I also just love doing it.
