It's Chase Week!

Some have said that our gimmick weeks are just excuses for us being lazy. And they'd be right. This week is even lazier, though, because we have Chase from Tomorrow's Nobody (http://www.tomorrowsnobody.com) giving us his interpretations of C&H. We didn't even have to pick them out from a bunch of crappy guest submissions!

To put the icing on the cake, next Friday he and Kris have a new short coming out! So keep your eyeballs peeled to the front page.

Chase and the rest of the TN guys have been doing a lot of live action filming, including a series of shorts called 'David Forgets.' They're pretty damn funny, so go check em out on their site (http://www.tomorrowsnobody.com) or their YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/TomorrowsNobodycom). They're also trying to gather some funds for a better camera, so if you're feeling generous, toss some of that sweet, sweet monetary generosity their way.

Go for matt's style of crazy unexpected comics, they are my favorite, or go for dave's situation humor that is usually not that outrageously strange and most of the time is quite realistic, but funny.

I am severely disappointed by all of this. I don't really care how the art style looks (its not like I read C&H for the high quality art anyway) but I would think that Chase could do better than two pathetic strips about buttsex. Regardless of guest comics or not, this week's comics are unoriginal, badly drawn, and completely lacking in any amount of humor whatsoever. Buttsex. Wow. It wasn't funny the first time, and it has gotten progressively less funny through the next three. I used to check C&H everyday in anticipation of a new comic, now I find my self regretting it. I really hope Kris and Chase don't do a short about buttsex. Kris is funnier and more talented than that.

In the beginning, three beings were created out of the void of nothing known as Chaos. These beings were Gaia of the earth, the Heavens, and BMP. Both the Heavens and BMP loved Gaia and were bitter rivals, but in the end she spurned BMP and chose the other. Gaia and the Heavens then birthed Atmos, which separates the earth and the heavens.

BMP, angry and rejected, plotted against Gaia, the Heavens, and Atmos, and brought forth the beasts of the land to defeat them. However, even with his might beasts he was not enough and the trinity of Atmos, Gaia, and the Heavens knocked him down from his godly throne. They then created man to rule over the beasts of BMP to make sure they never plotted against the gods again.

BMP, defeated and stripped of his power, retreated to the netherworld, where he lay dormant as human civilization flourished. Soon, the names of the gods Gaia, the Heavens, Atmos, and BMP were mostly forgotten by mortal men, only fluttering here and there through the pages of the mortal religions.

The holy trinity grew old, but BMP did not. He grew only stronger, tempered in the heat of hell-fire, biding his time until a new era of his reign would come. His influence, even in the deep of sleep, was viral enough to affect the hearts and minds of some men, and soon religions and cults worshiping BMP, usually under the name of a different god, sprung up around the world. The most notable of these was the cult of StickusSuicidum, which gained many members through the most unseemly of means. StickusSuicidum, with its grand priests Serinior and Skreborzk, was powerful enough to sway world politics. Its work can be seen in the most vile of organizations throughout history, Hitler was a member of StickusSuicidum.

StickusSuicidum intended to incite an ancient ritual to revive BMP, so that his power would once again rise and crush the earth, the symbol of his enemy, the trinity. By 2003, they were nearly ready, even having gained unwitting members en mass on the internet. The trinity, however, although old and only a fraction as powerful as in their prime, sought to prevent this.

They created a group of holy warriors, known as Explosmidum, to defend the earth. The champions of Explosmidum were its four great warriors, known as the CyanidiHappidus: Matt of the sky, Rob of the girth, Dave of the highlands, and Kris of the Magic-Hat clan. These four warriors championed Explosmidum, and met StickusSuicidum's Serinior and Skreborzk in battle.

The vicious fight lasted for months, and Rob had to take many snack breaks, but eventually the victors emerged: Explosmidum was champion.

The earth now secure, the four champions retired from their grand stations. They decided to dedicate themselves to telling their fellow man the story of BMP and the trinity, through magnificent storytelling and humor. I think some of you people don't get the real idea behind the comic. If you analyse the comics you can see the thought put into these pieces of intellectual beauty. Let's take a look at this comic:

If you think about it, you really get the deeper meaning of the comic. It's clearly about the racism against Mexicans immigrants currently going on in America. The comic is actually stating that no matter what, we all have a bit of Mexican in ourselves.

If we look at the deeper meaning of the comic, we can conclude that Chase is giving us the message that Siamese people are as normal as us. They can have a normal sexlife as well and shouldn't be looked down upon.

This comic is actually implying the consequences of social pressure.

With this comic, Chase reffers to lesbians. He speaks of anuses, but actually he represented the female sexual organs. The deeper meaning of this comic is that lesbian females are normal people too, who have human needs. It shows that they can have sex as well, even without the need of a scrotum.

I think if we all think for a while, we can see the real geniosity, brilliance and thought put into Chase's work.
