I just watched this documentary, and I must say that I am amazed by it.
http://zeitgeistmovie.com/
It has three parts. The first part is about jesus and astrology. The second part is about 9/11. The third part is about the Federal Reserve. There is some frightening stuff in it.
I strongly suggest that everyone watch it. It's a real eye-opener.
I'm still watching the Youtube section, but if this any bit true, "Holy fuck." It just doesn't seem possible that we haven't heard about this yet.
I figure this deserves a bump, seeing as how it's a very interesting topic. If a mod could perhaps move this to the GF or Debate, that would be appreciated.

I watched a bit on youtube. I couldn't believe what they were saying. Well, I can believe it, I just don't want to.

There is the piece on youtube. The movie is about two hours long and I'm sure most people don't want to sit through that. Seriously though, it's worth it.

I watched it the other day, and I must say I find the first part quite interesting, the second part "meh", and the third part is just depressing.
I strongly recommend it though.

The Christianity-Astrology thing has been discussed for centuries, you may not have heard about it, but its a pretty common subject amongst scholars and alike.

I watched the YouTube video about the North American Union. It is a powerful video. I'll say that it's a tough decision of what to believe now.
If you disagree with this, you're CRAZY and BLINDED BY THE MEDIA =O
If you agree with it, you're CRAZY and YOUR GOVERNMENT IS AGAINST YOU =O
My final word is: Que sara sara
Whatever will be will be.
The future's not ours to see
Que sara sara.
EDIT- I've so far watched the first half hour and it's really cool. I wish I could remember all this info about retro-ass religions =(
My favourite part is "Joseph... Is a prototype... Of Jesus."

I saw this movie the day I heard about it a couple months ago and have watched it 3 times ever since. This movie is definitely something EVERYONE should watch (Not Remember The Titans which was shown twice every school year at my high school...) and really take everything in.
The first part is obviously the most controversial since most people will blindly believe anything that's associated with religion.
The second part is actually interesting and when linked with the third part is actually terrifying and depressing as it begins to show how powerless we are against our government.
If by the third part you're not hating our government, scared to live in the US, or depressed by what the future holds for us, then you obviously haven't been paying attention. The third part is the most shocking and appalling of them all.
The first part is awesome.
Fuck you, Houston, Remember The Titans is an awesome movie!

I'm having "Penn and Teller's Bullshit" flashbacks.

The first bit was very interesting, and well researched. There weren't any significant revelations, but a lot of it is fairly credible.
That being said, part 2 dives into some Loose Change bullshit that makes a 3rd grade show-and-tell assignment look like a university thesis. There is no grounds to anything about the 9/11 conspiracy at all, and all it succeeded in doing was make me wonder how great the research in the first part was.
I didn't even watch the third part because I couldn't sit through the frat-boy, beer-induced conspiracy theory.

The film's suggestion that there is an attempt to create a world government seems to have many parallels with the methods of the Nazi party's rise, creating an climate of fear to restrain the public, and eventually be demanded to gain control, clamping down on civil liberties, just as the Nazi party gained power in Germany.
As for inserting microchips into people, could there be a more open attempt to create an Orwellian totalitarian state?

It's called Fascism. And it's not really a suggestion: if you don't thing the American government takes advantage of the fear created after 9/11, you're either an idiot or insane. That part cannot be argued against.
Audio: Dude, I watched Loose Change. This wasn't Loose Change. Are you sure your hatred for that badly done "documentary" didn't cloud your judgment of this?
I did think the part that states "911 truth" is pushing it, since it's admittedly based on speculation, but if it didn't even make you uncomfortable about the government's version of the events, I'm not sure a written confession would. Did you know they confiscated all video footage of the Pentagon on the day of the "crash" and haven't released them until now? Why would they do that?
Everyone: Even if you don't agree with the second part, the first part is truly a masterpiece. I didn't know 90% of the shit mentioned, and it was both entertaining and enlightening. I'm e-mailing this to friends, and you should too. If anything, it's incredibly well edited.

No, my judgment was clouded only by facts. When I first watched Loose Change, no doubt I was taken in a little bit. I accepted the possibility of an inside job. After that, I did my research and concluded that there was no way in hell Bush planned 9/11. It was not my hatred for Loose Change that made me loathe Zeitgeist, it was my hatred for bullshit theories based on the unknown rather than actual facts. Ironic, isn't it, that they criticize religion when they are just as bad, they follow one person into the darkness, and believe him when he says the walls are white.

Loose Change did it better, in my opinion. :ahe:

I saw it for about an hour last night. And I thing it awesome. Gonna see the other hour tonight, but I think its pretty well explained. So fuck god!

This was pretty much exactly like my Zeitgeist experience.

I really like the first part (even if it has some obvious factual errors), the second part I hated, but it was kind of neccesary to show how the government used it in its advantage, but they should have left out the inside job shit.
But on to the third part, everybody is discussing the first and the second part, but what about the third part? I've been trying to research this with no avail, if anybody could provide me with some links that support this (such as the income tax and what not), that would be great.

I love how people buy into all the propaganda, and when you check the "Sources" link at the bottom, all his sources were other conspiracy theory books.

I liked the second part =(
Come on, American news broadcasts claiming that the Pentagon plane just evaporated. That's pretty silly. The tower that just fell on it's own was pretty dumb aswell, I never heard anything about that.

OR how the people at the basement got hurt by an explosion that happened right before the plane crash. Cmon Audio that's at least a little weird.

I posted this documentary back before the forum crash. Anyway, if you want more info on the FDR, check into another documentary, America: From Freedom to Fascism:

This documentary goes deep into the 3rd part of Zeitgeist.
