Figured I'd make a thread on these two series by Laurell K. Hamilton. I'm not gonna go into a five-paragraph essay about what they are. Figure it out, or look em up at Barnes and Noble or something. Anyway...
I've actually not read very much of Anita Blake, only the first 3, but I've read all of Meredith Gentry that exists so far. Great books. It's quite a different kind of fantasy. I love how each person in faerie looks utterly different, and in ways that humans never could -- totally black skin, green hair, etc. And how everyone has their own unique powers.
Plus, lots of hot, steamy sex. Although from what I've heard, the Anita Blake series breaks down to only that and not much else later in the series. Dunno. I'll just hope that that doesn't happen to Meredith Gentry, because in my opinion it's a better series than Anita Blake anyway.
