Why not set up a list of guidelines so we have a uniform way of doing things in this section?

Contribute what you think would be good rules.

These are my suggestions.

Books

All spoilers be used with the [spoiler] tags
If part of a series, label the book the spoiler is in
When discussing a new book, try to label the Genre/Author in the first post?

Art

Label appropriately

Those are just my suggestions, but if we can get a list, I'd only make this place better, no?

Art should be both labeled and discussed. There's no point in just posting a painting and letting that be the end of it (same for books too). Once the forum is moderated, maybe something could be implemented being the equivalent of "Not Debating" in the DZ?

Or else this just becomes a slightly more sophisticaled G&S.

And capitalization, grammer, and punctuation should be more strickly enforced here, seeing as this is a forum mostly dedicated to the English language.

Agreed, explicitly on the grammar side of it. Lets have at least one literate forum.

Does that mean we can be grammar Nazis?

Some suggestions:

Don't use words you don't understand. It makes you look stupid (which is what you were trying to avoid).
Try to spell check. Firefox has a neat little spell check feature built in, so use it (Looking at you, grb).

I think I can handle this. I'll make a sticky and you guys can post rule suggestions there.
