So I'm going to Download Festival in the UK this summer, can't wait to see Motorhead, Kiss, Judas Priest and In Flames.
Anyone else going to a festival in summertime? Who you most looking forward to seeing?
(Also post your rumours for bands playing various festivals if you know any.)

Oops, I was gunning more for the festival viewpoint and the rumours of who's playing where rather than gigs in general though.

I'm definately going to the Graspop festival, like every year. I hope I can visit some others as well (like Wacken, Hellfest, ...) but that probably won't happen.
Also, Download fucking sucks. Any festival that puts bands like Lost Prophets or MCR above bands like Slayer and Motorhead deserves to die

I will probably go to Ruisrock and maybe Tuska open air 08.
Tuska has pretty amazing bands this year: Slayer, Carcass, Sonata Arctica, Amon Amarth, Job For A Cowboy, Kalmah,...

Planning on going to download as well. But for completely different bands, Offspring, Lost Prophets, Rise Against and Coheed and Cambria are what are drawing me in.
Oxegen (http://www.oxegen.ie/site/). Full lineup hasn't been announced but it's usually pretty awesome.

Yeah I know but I can't afford to go to the European ones, if I could I'd be at Wacken without a 2nd thought.

If I'd could I'd be at Langerado in a heart beat.
Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, DSO, the Disco Biscuits, Railroad Earth, Matisyahu, and many more all in one place. Damn.
I'd also be at Bonnaroo if I could.
They have Phil, DSO, BB King, and the Allman Brothers, with more to be announced.
T in the Park (http://www.tinthepark.com/) is the biggest and officially the best festival in the UK. It gets held in Fife, Scotland every year.
Rage Against The Machine, REM, The Verve, Kings of Leon, The Prodigy, Primal Scream, Biffy Clyro and the Stereophonics are playing but to name a few.
It's expensive to go, but it's amazing. I've been twice before and had a great time, seeing bands like Jimmy Eat World, Green Day and the Foo Fighters live at a festival is pretty fucken sweet.

I'm American, living in Texas. So I don't get Coachella, or Download and Wacken.
What I do get though, is Warped Tour and Ozzfest, which Warped Tour has been increasing in suckage since 2004. The only bands I'm excited about so far is Reel Big Fish and Dillinger Escape Plan, but keep in mind, sets at Warped Tour are only about half an hour long. Sounds of the Underground is taking a break this year, so I can't look forward to that.
I don't expect much from Ozzfest either, but if Cavalera Conspiracy makes an appearance, that'd be pretty sweet.
Texas is home to SXSW and Austin City Limits, but that's just not my kind of scene. :frown:

Bumbershoot for sure although no bands pkaying have been released it. They should release the list within a month or 2 though.
And possibly Warped Tour. But that possibility is very small.

What do you think of the bands playing Warped Tour so far?

You might have heard of Rock am Ring, it's one of the biggest festivals in Europe (at least). Bands performing there you might know: Metallica, Motörhead and fucking RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. I'm really psyched to see them.
Other bands include Bad Religion, Serj Takjan,In Flames, Queens of the Stone Age, etc
It's gonna be rad.
We have got really good festivals over here, I guess Waken is kind of the Metal-Valhalla, but I do envy you Americans for those touring festivals like the Warped tour etc. The line-up is usually insane, probably as good as it gets for punk fans.
