As the titles implies, yes, this is a sentimental thread. Basically, I want to know what the nicest thing your significant other has ever done for you is. It doesn't necessarily have to be who you're with now, and you're not excluded if you're single. This is just a thread to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, like a cat in a trashcan.

Did he just pick one out from the sky or did he like buy it and get a certificate proving that its named after you?

The nicest thing a significant other has ever done for me is broken up with me =/

I've never been seeing anyone I've had sex with, and all my ex's are fuckin psychos.

You know those certificates don't mean shit?

Anyways, once I had to hand write a massive essay on Henry VIII, but my handwriting is shit, so she took the time to rewrite the whole thing so it was readable. It took fucking ages and I was very thankful.

I donate money towards charaties, school events, ETC.

The nicest thing that I've done was helping out when Katrina hit New Orleans. I went to a shelter and help them prepare. But the nicest, and right thing I have done was saving a woman's life, she was drowning so I helped her and took her near the ledge of the pool so she could hold on to the ledge.

EDIT : Sorry, I jumped the gun.

I was on this school competition thing in another city and we go to the mall the night we get there and do the contest the next day and there was this santa bell person outside and I gave her all my mall money instead of buying cheap shit. All the girls were like 'you're so sweet' and stuff. Win/win situation.

Tom named a star after me for my birthday.

So he payed 20 bucks to "name a star" after you, instead of buying you a birthday present?

Brilliant, Britty.

Yea, am I the only one who read the "warm and fuzzy" bit in the first post?
Well the niceest(can't spell) thing she's done for me...probably continuing to be a great friend even after we broke up. She even helped me get together with my current girlfriend.

It was probably cuz she hated the bitch.

By the way, get Firefox, it'll help with your spelling.

Uh..
Jeff let me sit on his coat so my ass wouldn't get wet when we sat in the snow waiting for his mom to pick us up.

I try to donate money sometimes, when I'm able, or if I'm aware of one. I also give money to those who ask for it on the streets from time to time. It all depends really. If I could, I would give like, lots of money away, but one day I might be able to or something.

But I thought this thread was geared toward your boyfirend/girlfriend/wife/husband doing things for you. Not what you done for charities, and such(though still a good thing). Just throwing that out there. :ahe:

That's nice and all, but please read the opening post from now on before you respond; I asked what the nicest thing your boyfriend/girlfriend has ever done for you is.

One of my exes brought me to see Twelfth Night for my birthday even though he hated Shakespeare. I wore new shoes on the night and it rained horribly, so he carried me across puddles on the way home.

That was just about the only nice thing he ever did though. Ever >=(

The nicest thing my gf's done to me? Maybe the fact that shes tolerated me for almost a whole year. Or that she is getting me a birthday gift tomorrow, even when I have whined that I don't want one since she decided to get me one.

No-one ever does anything nice for me.

I wonder why.

Haha no in all seriousness though, my best friend gave me a crystal swarovski Swan he had bought for 80 CHF (USD 80) and had for a couple of years as a going away gift and something to remember him by. That's the only ever time I've ever really been touched by something someone did for me :)

I have had people do nice things for me but nothing that really stands out.

Well, one time my car broke down in the middle of nowhere and this random lady went and bought me drinks and stuff because I had to wait for my dad to come help.

Um, that's quite manly. It'll go nicely on your desk between your Sex and the City box collection and your tampons?

My girl does all the right things. For my birthday she handpicked, ordered and furiously searched for just the right gifts. Spending thousands in the process.

Being loved for who you are, without the expectancy to change to conform to someone elses idealisations is more than any material gift. One I get each day.

And this guy's an asshole. Who the fuck lets their girlfriend spend thousands of dollars on him for his birthday? Prick.
