Mitch Hedberg(February 24, 1968 – March 29, 2005)was one of the greatest comedians of all time. His onlsaught of one liners mixed with his hilarious deliveries were what Mitch was known for. You could'nt help falling on the ground on hold your sides in laughter when you heard this comedy master mind talk. He had over 14 t.v. appearances and was in several feature films.
With that said i thought this tribute should be made. Below are several links to some of Mitch Hedberg's preformancing and his official website.

What the hell, I never knew he died!
It's true though, that man was a comedic genius.
For a second I thought it said "Mitch Henderson" and I was like "The an hero kid?"
But that really sucks, I loved that guy.

What the hell?! How did he die?
He was hilarious. :(
He overdosed in a motel room over two years ago.
He was a great comedian but he died over 2 years ago. So why post it now?

Genius!!!!!!!
I remember when he was on that 70's show. Every thing he said was Funny.
Probably one of the most original yet old school styles of comedy every created.

Wasn't that funny. Most of his material was hit and miss.
What the hell is up with this information just now surfacing for most people? I just found out a couple of weeks ago, actually. I always thought he was hilarious. I had no idea he died, and it happened two years ago. Fucking bullshit.

I didn't know either. Odd coincidence: I was watching a video of his standup on YouTube when I saw this thread.

It's not even the jokes that are funny. They're horrible. His awesome delivery is what makes people laugh.
What the hell, I never knew he died!
It's true though, that man was a comedic genius.
Gahhh, I like Mitch! He was funny. Never gonna forget "The best murder would be shooting someone with an arrow. The police would find the body and be like "Hey, lets go that way"

I figured it out after watching his standup on Comedy Central, falling in love immediatly, and than frowning and questioning why if there is a god is indeed so cruel to take such a wonderful man off this earth. But that was about a year ago... it kind of surprises me this many people say they love him, but they didn't even know he passed away. At the end of the Comedy Central Presents they have a picture of him with 1968-2005 underneath, the website is a great tribute to him, and there is an entire comedy tour (can't remember which one) where they dedicate the whole shabang to him.
I can't say exactly why he was funny, but something about his act really speaks to me. I've played his cd's to numerous people, and while some fall in love, the others just kind of look at me akwardly and go "So... he's high. huh." They don't know what true genius is :P.
May he rest in peace.

This year in school on march 29th I printed off a bunch of pictures of Mitch with "R.I.P. you saucy bastard." and taped them up all over my school. They stayed up for three days. I still love his comedy central presents bit.

Holy shit, some of you guys didn't know this?
He was a remarkable man. Worthy of a thread on the internet, indeed.

I didn't know he died until about a half a year ago, they kept showing his act on Comedy Central so I thought he was alive.

Well look at his clips. In over half of them it's crystal clear he's high on coke. He can't even stand still.
I always thought he was an awesome joke writer but mediocre to bad when he was actually on stage. He had like no emotions.

Welcome to 2005 everybody.
I was waiting for that.
Well look at his clips. In over half of them it's crystal clear he's high on coke. He can't even stand still.
I always thought he was an awesome joke writer but mediocre to bad when he was actually on stage. He had like no emotions.
He suffered from intense stage fright. Most of the time during shows he wore glasses and had his eyes closed.
I'm gonna stop following my dreams. I'm just gonna ask where they are going and hook up with them later.
He died of a coke overdose.

He suffered from intense stage fright. Most of the time during shows he wore glasses and had his eyes closed.
Oh I know, the "no emotions" part is accounted for and has a reason; It doesn't improve his act, though.
The endless pacing, trembling and the way he delivered punchlines are all seriously marked by his addiction, though.

He was never high when he went on the stage ArKaiN, he just had trouble being in front of large crowds.

Ahh, Mitch. You barely reached your potential. I do have to admit, though, that the constant onel iners annoyed me. Sure ,they were funny as hell, but, I've always been a fan of Story->Punch line rather than just the Punchline. But, yeah, he was a kick ass fella. I wish he would've been able to do more, though.

I think he would have grown as a comedian if he had lived to overcome his stage fright and to gain more experience.

Mitch Hedberg was awesome. Especially with the escalators bit. RIP, man.
He OD'd at a hotel in Livingston, NJ which neighbors my town.
Everytime I pass it I pay my respect by shouting, "MITCH HEDBERG DIED THERE!"
Yeah, I thought he was funny.
