So, I just saw
-Cry of the Afflicted
-Pierce the Veil
-As Cities Burn
-Mayday Parade
-Emery
at the Tremont in Charlotte, NC. GREAT show, especially Emery.
Cry of the Afflicted was... Meh. All their songs sounded similar.
Pierce the Veil was great, convinced me to buy their album. They also played a cover of M.J.s "Beat It," which was beyond fun.
As Cities Burn was good, kind of chilled out. Their guitarwork is beyond sexy.
I skipped Mayday Parade. All the scene kids and preteen airheads kind of made me sick. Luckily they all left after MP finished.
Emery was... Unbelievable. The whole crowd knew every word to every song, and it was unbelievable. All the assholes had left after Mayday Parade, so the crowd attitude was really great, helping people up when they fell in the mosh pit, etc. They played a great mix of old and new stuff, had great crowd interaction. It was great. I feel like I got into a barfight, got drunk, broke the beer bottles, and then swallowed them. But in a good way.
