I'm suprised there isn't already a topic about this, but now there is.

Has anyone else downloaded this new demo? It's on the 360 and the PC (Do PS3's get downloadable content?), and I have downloaded it on the 360 and think it is FANTASTIC!

I'm betting one of the first reply's will be "It will be shit. It's just another WWII game.", and although this may be the general idea, they have done a good job of adding more features to make it seem like a new idea.

Yes, although the gameplay is the same idea (Shoot those German's! Take out those AA gun's! Save 16th squadron from that tank!), the fact that at the start of a mission, you are just air-dropped in, and thus can start anywhere and complete your objectives in any order, makes it feel new. Simple gameplay features help too, such as when you kill so many people with a gun, it is upgraded, so at one point i had a Thompson which had a 50 round magazine, improved accuracy and a recoil reducer on it.

Although the demo is only single player, i found it very fun, and although i know nothing about the multiplayer, they can't go much wrong when it is that fun.

What do you think?

Great demo. Dropping in from the air makes the levels way more interesting. At one point I dropped on top of a roof and made my way to the next objective by jumping from roof top to roof top (until I ran out of houses). The 'leveling up' of weapons was also pretty sweet. It definately made you want to use all of the weapons you had as opposed to just running around shooting guys with your machine gun. The only I was wish could've been better was how well you could take cover. I was getting gunned down while behind walls because crouching wouldn't get me low enough.

Yeah, but if you crouch, then go into ironsites and move backwards, he goes prone, great while you reload ;)
