Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

The 2nd sequel to Nintendo's first person adventure series, Metroid Prime was released in America today.
All the Metroid games have been master pieces(and Hunters) and this is no exception with the current scores of :

Though I'm not going to pick up 3 right now since I'm only half way through the original Metroid prime, I have played a full version of the game at EB games.
And I have to say I haven't played any console FPS with these controls, Red Steel and Call of duty 3 dropped the ball, Retro didn't with MP3.
It's better than Dual Analog and pretty much feels like Mouse and keyboard, even better.

Some people have been looking for a great game and reason for the Wii, this is a very good reason.

I'm definitely going to pick this one up very soon, surely before other big name titles like Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Brawl arrive in stores. I'm not surprised this is the second best Wii game ever (Twilight Princess being the first).

Yeah, like when people saw Ocarina of Time and said "Well maybe the N64 doesn't suck".
Then no other good games came along for 3 years and they noticed how incredibly fucked over they had been.

N64 was a good platform. And of course it has cobwebs on it.. the Gamecube and next-gen consoles came out. Everyones N64's is in the back of the closet with cobwebs; you're not special.

And I don't think Playstation was anything good until Playstation2 came out.

I would say that the N64 is one of the best platforms systems ever made and would compare it to the Playstation any day(note i do own a PS1 and 2).
But this thread is about the 3rd Metroid Prime game so I'm leaving it at that before we shit up the thread,

Wow, I can't believe it came out already. It was one of the games I was looking foward to when I first got my Wii, but after playing CoD3 and Red Steel my hopes went down. And to be honest I did not enjoy MP1 or 2. The FPAdventure did not suit me, and I was bored of it before I even started.

This one looks different though, with the Wii controls there will probably be faster pacing, and It's just because it's on the Wii that it sparked my attention in the first place.

CoD3 and Red Steel were the worst games ever.. Don't judge the Wii on that.

I rented it,(I'd buy it but I'm poor) and it is definitely the 2nd best game on Wii(I liked Zelda) better.

Though I noticed they tried to make it much more action orientated than before. Felt bad that they were messing with what made Metroid so great.

But the controls are great. I'm pretty used to the Wii so it didn't really feel all that new, but it was defiantly as good or even better than dual analog.
