Who the fuck buys these over-priced, retarded shirts because they say the same thing that Will Ferrel or someone from The Office said?

How special needs do you have to be to think that you are funny, because you paid 20 bucks to wear a quote from a movie that someone else wrote, someone else performed and everyone has seen?

Examples:

http://www.snorgtees.com/images/ShakeAndBake_Fullpic_1.gif
No, actually it happened quite some time ago in a Will Ferrel movie, but well done you for remembering it.

http://www.snorgtees.com/images/IAmMcLovin_Fullpic_1.jpg
No you're fucking not, you're a talentless douche, who thinks they're funny because they remember something funny someone else said!

http://www.snorgtees.com/images/BigDeal_Fullpic_2.jpg
Ironically, you can assume safely that anyone wearing this shirt is entirely not a big deal.

http://www.snorgtees.com/images/ThatsWhatSheSaid_Fullpic_1.gif
What did she say, hmm? Was it "OH MY GOD, I REMEMBER THAT GUY IN THE OFFICE SAYING THAT, YOU'RE SO FUNNY, LETS FUCK!" I bet it wasn't.

Unfortunately I lack the capital or know-how to print t-shirts with my own sayings on them. And even if I did, the humour would be lost as I doubt anybody will get an in-joke that I alone am privy to.

But nice rant nonetheless.

See, those actually appear to be original and aesthetically pleasing designs. That, I have no problem with. However, if they were to plaster "I'M IN A GLASS CAGE OF EMOTION!" over the front, I'd want to kick them in the tits.

Snarky novelty t-shirts are so annoying. There's a guy in my class who wears them every day. He also gets one size bigger than he needs so that makes him look like even more of a douchebag.

Some of his best t-shirts say the following:
"Come closer. So I can slap you."
"I can only be nice to one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either."
"Relish today, ketchup tomorrow."

I don't have anything against these t-shirts. Actually, I quite enjoy some of them. If I wear one, I'm not trying to be funny, I just find it funny myself. I could care less about what others think. It's like today you can't wear anything you like because everyone's assuming you choose your clothes to be funny/cool.

Firstly, it's COULDN'T care less, what you said implies the opposite of what you mean.

Secondly, if you find something funny, and you COULDN'T care less what other people think, why would you pay 20 bucks for a 2 buck tshirt with a slogan on it for other people to read?

Those threadless t-shirts are awesome. They're original and artsy, but have a funny/cool feeling about them; and you wouldn't look like a douche wearing it.

But any shirt with a catch-phrase on it that you have to be "in on", like from a TV-show or a movie, shouldn't be sold..ever.

Let's be honest guys; the sad part is that the majority of your friends and acquaintances are:

Going to find it funny, and if they don't, may probably lie about it;
Not really going to mind seeing you wear it;
Not going to find it funny if you're some sort of academic who hangs out with intellectuals all day.

So you can bitch about how unfunny they are right now but the truth is, a lot of people are going to find it funny (despite the fact I wholeheartedly agree with the notion that most of them are never actually funny or original).

Well, thank you for correcting me, and I mean it.

About the t-shirt now, I'll say it again, I wouldn't buy it for others to read but because I like it and I find it funny.
Same thing goes for other kinds of t-shirts as well. I have an Iron Maiden one that I paid 20$, that is also probably only worth 2 bucks, but I didn't buy it so others could read Iron Maiden - The Trooper, that wouldn't make any sense.
I just love the god damn band, and doubt it makes me look "cooler".

Who gives a shit what a t-shirt says. Yes, I'll agree, when people fucking run everything into the ground, it does get annoying. Say, for example, when Napoleon Dynamite first came out in theatres, I wanted to see it the first time I seen teh trailer for it(when I went, I was the only one in there). but when I would mention it to others they'd say, "oh that looks stupid", or something similar. Anyway, when it finally came on dvd and everyone seen the movie and thats when the explosion for it happened. But it pissed me off so bad because they were trying to tell me about it and im like, "ugh...i mentioned it already, etc". That kind of thing pisses me off, so I do somewhat get what you all are saying.

But honestly, if I see a shirt which humors me, I'll buy it if I have the cash. Oh and I'm surprised there isn't a rickroll shirt yet. I can see it now, it'd say something like, "I've been Rickrolled before", or something, "witty".

EDIT: Oh and I owned a vote for pedro t-shirt, I felt as if I was, worthy to own one because I wasn't just trying to be cool and whatnot. I still have it, but it has a chocolate stain on it :(

It generally is a sign of inherent unfunniness when you have to rely on someone else's catchphrases to get a laugh. I find lots of things said in films funny, but I can't understand the need to inform everyone else of this by brandishing the witty one-liner on a poorly-crafty teeshirt.
