Fuck seriously guys, I BSOD'd today twice luckily wih the same error with the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error
Whereas I'm computer smart to the point that I know how to find out about said error I'm not smart enough to know what to fix. Every single one of the responces has pretty much told me to fiddle about with shit till its fixed.
With this computer being my only means of doing schoolwork as well as using the internet I really don't want to fart arse about with things beyond my comprehension unless I absolutely have to.
This is where you come, it apparently has to do with my IRQ, which currenly looks like this;

Can anyone tell me what I could do?

Have you installed any new devices recently? Or during the time the BSOD started? If so you can try uninstalling them, it is hard to tell what is causing the BSOD just from the error it provides, as that can be a number of things.
Also, is there anything that triggers the BSOD? Or does it just happen randomly?

I assume you have Windows XP. That is usually a incorrect driver or corrupted driver problem. What are the circumstances that make this error pop up (such as every time you go online or every time you try to print something, ect)? Knowing the circumstances that cause this error to pop up will help in trying to find a solution.

Well lets see, the first time my brother said he was just loading up YouTube, the second time, when I was on, I had just closed Firefox and it hit.
Last thing installed was Ventrillo back in late March, surely thats not the problem?

Well if nothing you can see triggers it, then it can be hard to pinpoint what is causing it. I can send you to this link (http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/default.mspx) which is helpful if you read all the steps on how to use the program. Once you read the steps on how to use it, and you decide to install it, post here which file is causing your BSOD's and I may be able to help a little more, right now there isn't much I can do since you have no idea what triggers your BSOD, or when it started.
Here (http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=447620) is a guide on how to use the debugging tools, it should help.
Does the BSOD give you a hex number for the error code? I know microsoft MSDN can retrieve the specific error from the error code.

The hex number will be helpful. It sounds like it may be a problem with you ethernet controller or modem (depending on how you connect to the internet). I would try and update those drivers if at all possible and if not try reinstalling the controllers.

I'll put it simply:
To diagnose the problem you need to write down the hex codes the BSOD gives you, otherwise the problem might not be solvable. The error message combined with the hex codes are the system telling you exactly what went wrong and where.

Oh sorry, never really had to do this before.
Right the only thing that looked like hex codes was this
0x000000D1 (0x00000008, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF82ECBEF)

What kind of mouse are you using on your computer? Is it a Logitech?

I still think it is a corrupted network controller driver. I would do a few basic steps to see if these correct anything: run chkdisk on your hard drive and fix any errors that occur there, install all updates, and defragment the hard drive. I would try that before you do anything drastic and see if that fixes anything.

I'll have to try that but it will have to wait until the weekend when I have some time.
Thanks
