In a nutshell: Wakfu is the sequel to Dofus (http://www.dofus.com/). You can play it for free if you want to try it. You can also opt to pay for more content, though what with the MMORPG craze we already have, you'd probably avoid that. I know I do. What kind of game is it? Well, like Dofus, it is an MMORPG, and is a tactical one, turn-based rather than real-time.
It's supposed to be better overall - I don't know about the gameplay, but I suppose the animation is better, both ingame and in cinematics. I think even the new stills portraying classes look better, as in comparison the classes from the older Dofus looks more generic and dulller.

The cinematic in the trailer they have now (0:00 - 01:20) interests me because I haven't seen much French animation in a while, especially in games. (The game is indeed made in France) I like the Ogre. :)
