The eraser nib has started to stick down whenever I use it. I won't go into detail: this makes it rather difficult to use the tablet at all. It interferes not only with art program brushes and stuff, but also regular mouse clicks and actions.

It almost seems like it's stuck down by some tacky liquid, but I don't remember spilling anything on it.

Does anyone know if it's safe to dunk the pen in water to clean it? I know there's no battery or anything, but I actually have no idea how the pen works and I don't want to accidentally fuck it up even worse. New pens cost $30-$60 and I'd love to avoid that price tag.

P.S. I've already googled the shit out of this and found nothing. I also emailed WACOM customer support a week ago and they didn't write back.

I would not suggest dunking it in water. I am not sure if you can actually clean it, but if you want to try place it in either isopropyl alcohol or denatured alcohol. Those two substances are better at cleaning electronics.

Okay, I dipped it in water and it fixed it. :fmita:
