View Full Version : The Pocket Book of Death

Rob

Hey dudes.

Just wanted to announce a fun side project we did over the past several months. It's called The Pocket Book of Death (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Pocket-Book-of-Death/Morgan-Reilly/e/9781435103535/?itm=1&afsrc=1&lkid=J24408862&pubid=K150969&byo=1) and it's available both online at barnesandnoble.com or in real life at Barnes&Noble.GoToTheStore.

I urge you guys to buy it online, because it benefits us more, due to their affiliate program. If you buy it online, be sure to use this link (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Pocket-Book-of-Death/Morgan-Reilly/e/9781435103535/?itm=1&afsrc=1&lkid=J24408862&pubid=K150969&byo=1).

So what is The Pocket Book of Death?

Basically it's a little book full of cool facts about death, written by Morgan Reilly and Joanna Tempest, and illustrated by us! Woohoo! It's a departure in style from what you see on the site, but I think you folks will dig it. Plus it's only eight bucks!

Buy it!!

Looks nice, I'll try to find a credit card and order it. Also, from the pictures I see the art is different from C&H, but I can still find a bit of influence from it.

Wow!! :eyespop: That looks like one kickass book. :] YOU CAN MAKE A DIAMOND OUT OF SOMEONE'S ASHES?!!! Dude... I'm so going to have that done to me when I die if you can actually get that done. It'll become like a family heirloom or something... and if someone ever tries to steal it I can haunt them into submission. :evillaugh Teehee.

I got the book through the online link. It is a lot funnier than I was expecting. Being on the topic of death, I thought it might be wierd. But it is fresh, interesting, and quite fun to read.

The B&N store near me does not carry the book, but they told me they would order it for me (no shipping fee). Most B&N stores will do this if you ask them, since it is a B&N book. I agree with Matt and others- this is NOT a "Goth" book at all. In fact, it is just the opposite of what you might expect from the title of the book.

This book was freakin' awesome, guys! I read through it all in one day, and it was rather interesting. Some things in there I already was aware of, others, not so much. I think my favorite illustration in that book (that I can remember, anyway) was the one of the Olympic judges holding the signs up for the dead-man's-float suicide jumper.

sorry i got it at the store itself but i was going the very day i heard about the book. its in the occult section for some reason. i looked forever in that section but since its so cheap they moved it to the front of the store.

i liked the book, i wish it went into more detail about the guy that survived all those deadly things.

I noticed some jokes from c&h too like urethral injection!

maybe sometime you should make a compilation book of c&h. id buy that for ten bucks and make people who are too lazy to check out the website read it.

thanks for making me laugh everyday, even on days that suck c&h manages to put a smile on my face or make me laugh in the library and have everyone stare at me. hope you got at least a little bit of money from the book i bought.

I'm not dead, but if I was, and I really might be but dont know it yet, would definately tell you if your book was shit or definately right on! but I dont know yet either way, you know? I'm contacting a medium to ask around to see what the dead think of it before I get it, but I will be back, maybe to buy the book, maybe in a reincarnation of a emu's sphincter muscle, who knows? The dali lama is getting ready to go, maybe I'll ask him to get a message back through John Edwards... I'll sit back and count my blessings for either being dead or alive or just confused. Remember, its not the cough that carries you off - its the coffin they carry you off in. So smoke up Johnny, unless your being cremated. Damn...
