GTA IV/the series

Now I'm sure a forum full of teenagers and young adults probably won't be on opposing sides on this "issue", but I'm just wondering. Is GTA 4 really as bad as the naysayers say it is? This might be closed shortly due to the lack of people not saying what is so bad about GTA, and maybe this just belongs in the GF/VGF.

I think it is just a game, personally. A game that people get all too rilled up about because of the excessive violence and sex in it. I don't know what this game did to get such a bad rap, but I don't think it deserves it because all in all, it's just a fantasy game. No harm and no foul, and really only people who play this excessively for hours will ever get "harmed" by it.

I think it's more of a are video games good or bad debate. You could say that Star Craft is bad for those Koreans who play it 24/7 but other than that it's a fun harmless pastime.

From what I hear, they expect this to be quite the big selling game because of all the controversy surrounding it right now. Honestly, when I heard about the controversy at school, all I could think was "Oh, man, I just wanna buy a copy!" I don't even own a console that I could play it on.
