3rd Explosm Comic Tournament

It's been about 6 months. Let's try to get another one of these going.

Please read the following
Post your characters in this thread. What they look like and a brief description of their powers, personality. They must be your own creation. All entries will be considered and the only way you're not going to be able to participate is if the character is unoriginal or we can tell you just didn't try. A stick man ain't gonna cut it.

Entries will be open for awhile. Once we get quite a few I'll post a definite deadline. Plenty of time to get your characters in. Once entry is closed no other submissions will be accepted.

When the tournament starts you will have 2 days to launch your attack. Once your opponent strikes you will have 2 days to ready a counter attack. Each participant will get 2 chances to fight in each battle. Therefore the fights will go like this.

Fight starts
Player 1 attacks within 2 days time
Player 2 attacks within 2 days time
Player 1 attacks within 2 days time
Player 2 attacks within 2 days time
Fight ends

If the person reserves to go first and does not attack within the 2 days the other contestant has an additional 2 days to attack. If neither attack, both are out. If the second gets his attack in then they win by default.

If neither reserves and there is no peep from either contestant after the 2 days are up then they are both out.

Attacks can take as many frames as needed just be sure to have it completed within the time allotted.

Outcome will be determined by a vote at the end of the the fight in a thread made by either myself or Relaps.

Pairings will be done out of a hat style every round with who ever remains.

[RELAPS NOTES]: The Comic Judging should be based on three things:

1. Art: Is it decent? Pleasing to the eye? Terrible?
2. Creativity: Cool situations, interesting ways of handling the fights?
3. Funny: This is a COMIC competiton. It should be funny, but NOT random. Don't make the Flowerpot monster from Arubalanda appear out of your character's pants.

There you have it, the 33.3%'s of judging. Take ALL of these into account. Just because someone can draw well, if their comic is boring, then this whole contest will be a bore, albeit a pretty one. The same thing goes for if it's a crappy looking, hilarious comic. You shouldn't make a comic win on art alone, but it's still 1/3'd of the judging, so don't ignore it either.

Another thing for contestants: Treat your opponents character with respect. If it's a tennis player that fires flaming tennis balls, don't make him a retard in your comic round. Don't have him shitting himself because he's braindead.

NO INSTANT DEATH MOVES: You cannot *kill* opponents. You can kill your own guy, then make him come back to life via the Deus Ex Washing Machina.

IMPORTANT
If you have a big school project coming up, your family members are perpetually and deathly ill or you think you're going to lose interest PLEASE do not sign up and waste our time.

All the fights are at the same time to avoid it lasting ages, then the winners move on. So in the first round, everyone that is in the tournament will be fighting at the same time, in their own threads.

That's Seamus Onyu, the hitman for the Irish mafia. His powers include shooting rainbows, granting wishes, being sly and tricky, and don't forget he has a big arsenal of guns including revolvers, 22s, tommy guns, and shotguns.
He plans to someday become the head of the Irish mafia, but in the mean time he has to do his best and work his way up. He hides pots of coke under rainbows, where no one can get to them.

#245 or "Emotibot" was created by the user "Chipsngravy" as a battle android for the upcoming tournament. Emotibot is fitted with several destruction-worthy enhancement, most noticeably its enormous gorilla-like arms and titanium armour.

Emotibot also harbours a secret weapon encased inside its torso which appears through a door when in dire need. Not only does its large plated torso hold weapons, the user "Chipsngravy" also pilots the godly mechanised bot from here.

Due to lack of funding, Emotibot's face was crudely constructed, displaying a simple text screen. Emotibot's status and feelings are displayed here as well as messages to other combatants from "Chipsngravy" himself.

He reminds me a bit of CSNR, but thats because he's a robot, red, got black joint bits and has big forearms.

Yeah he's pretty generic when it comes to robots, but I didn't want to make something too complicated so its a pain in the ass for me (and others) to draw him. Plus my original character was a gorilla robot, but decided to make him completely robotic in the final drawing.

That's Seamus Onyu, the hitman for the Irish mafia. His powers include shooting rainbows, granting wishes, being sly and tricky, and don't forget he has a big arsenal of guns including revolvers, 22s, tommy guns, and shotguns.
He plans to someday become the head of the Irish mafia, but in the mean time he has to do his best and work his way up. He hides pots of coke under rainbows, where no one can get to them.

History:
#245 or "Emotibot" was created by the user "Chipsngravy" as a battle android for the upcoming tournament. Emotibot is fitted with several destruction-worthy enhancement, most noticeably its enormous gorilla-like arms and titanium armour.

Emotibot also harbours a secret weapon encased inside its torso which appears through a door when in dire need. Not only does its large plated torso hold weapons, the user "Chipsngravy" also pilots the godly mechanised bot from here.

Due to lack of funding, Emotibot's face was crudely constructed, displaying a simple text screen. Emotibot's status and feelings are displayed here as well as messages to other combatants from "Chipsngravy" himself.

Tiki-Tiki. This guy has been in training for months, bitches.

He doesn't speak, rather expressing himself through obscene gestures and mildly disturbing facial (mask) expressions. He can stab things and do various voodoo magic such as throwing your ass into a volcano to make the sun come up and throwing your ass off of a cliff to make you go splat. He can summon a pet dinosaur named Chompa-Chompa.

This is Der Hammer

He was a Nazi hammer used to build ovens for the Holocaust. One day he was put down on a table near where the Nazis kept the gypsies. One of the gypsies did some magic on the hammer to make it kill all the Nazis and set him free, but instead he grow 7ft tall and grew eyes and legs and killed everyone BUT the Nazis. He now hides from the world killing the Nazi enemys in secret, and anyone who gets in his way.


Powers
He can swing his head into anything, and not hurt himself.
When he get angry the swastika on him gets darker and darker, making him go insane and swing his head everywhere in a bezerk frenzy.

Originally named EX0001, RoboBall was created by the soviet union near the end of the cold war. After the first was created, it was decided that the project was too costly and that the resources were needed to employ more guards at the berlin wall. EX0001, originally nicknamed Шарик смерти, or "Ball of Death", by head russian scientists on the project, was outfitted with many weapons and armaments.


A layered armor that was a recent technological breakthrough for the Russians was used to make the main chassi. The armor was kept secret until a british spy discovered it many years later and used the idea to create the now popular Chobham armor, used on many of the worlds greatest battletanks including the M1 Abrams. Fitted with incredible computational abilities far surpassing the greatest of the time period, the EX0001 could process its surroundings and adjust to any terrain or situation.


After the fall of the soviet union in 1991, the EX0001 was bought by the United States for use in any further military operations. The original computing device was removed to be studied by American scientists and engineers, and was replaced by the most powerful computer the Americans had at the time. Unfortuneately this was an inferior device to the originally designed computation device, and the EX0001 ceased to function.


Finally, in 2007, the US scientists were able to fully understand the computing abilities of the original device. With newer micro CPU chips and wireless communication, a specialized team of US Navy, Army, and Air Force engineers redesigned a CPU for the robot. Fitted with the most powerful physics engine known to man, the EX0001 could predict the movement of enemies and the environment around it and anticipate movements up to 2.74 seconds in advance. With blue tooth technology installed, it could be commanded and have missions removed, added, or modified by a commander in a military base up to 250 miles away.


The last version of the EX0001 was implemented in June of 2008. With improved Chobham armor taken directly from factories that create the M1A2 Abrams and utility ports installed with multiple weapons and tools, the EX0001 is the strongest military robot that has yet been created. Using an electromagnet near the base of the EX0001, now nicknamed RoboBall after the operation it was designed in, Operation: Robot Sphere, the robot could create a magnetic field of the same polarity as the Earth, thus causing it to repel and levitate. The function and strength of the magnetic field could be adjusted to move RoboBall to different altitudes.


It is also equipped with a large solid-state laser for the cutting and burning of enemies and enemy structures. With an improved CPU, the RoboBall creates a virtual 4D world for itself (the 4th demension being persistance through time), and creates wireframe molds of its surrounding and any living prescence. It can anticipate actions up to 3.21 seconds in the future, and can predict the actions of non organic structures as well as enemies. I've read his story and stripped it of all useless information for everybody's sake.

TLDR version:
Roboball is intelligent and can talk. He's adaptive to strengths/weaknesses and can predict your movements up to 3.21 seconds in advance. He's got a bunch of weapons, one of which is a high-powered cutting laser. He's fitted with Chobham armour, a type of vehicle armour which is made up of layers of tiles, and one layer is broken upon impact (so it's extremely vulnerable to multiple hits at the same point). He's also water- and fire-proof.

He communicates wirelessly (via bluetooth) with a command base up to 250 miles away, allowing them to give him orders, information etc and for him to provide them with information as well. The command base can also talk through him. He has various transmission devices, including the aerials, which function effectively even when broken.

Oh yeah, and he levitates using an electromagnetic field generator at his base which works with the Earth's magnetic field to make him hover higher/lower.

Basically his only purpose is to be a killing machine despite the fact that the tournament rules say you can't kill your opponents.

Captain Roboto is an ex-pirate enthusiast. He escaped from jail to join this tournament. He still has a cuff on his left hand of which he can use as a whip. He obtained his robot body when his ship came across Japan. it stores replacement hand attachments for his right hand. he has a rifle, a mustard dispenser, and a flamethrower in storage for his additional attachments (plus the hook). He has a continuously revolving blade in the center of his virtually indestructible robot body. He also has wheels that allow him to move. his "spare tires" are found in his storage tank.

Far is pretty quick. He runs it on a Draw out a hat system, as opposed to more conventional style, but it works well. Last time it took him about an hour after registrations closed to put the draw for the first round online.

Far is pretty quick. He runs it on a Draw out a hat system, as opposed to more conventional style, but it works well. Last time it took him about an hour after registrations closed to put the draw for the first round online.

Awesome. I can't wait for this to start. It should prove to be fun. I'm already going over the previous tournament rounds to see what people did. :D

He's pretty self-explanatory, a ghost with a terminal illness.

Has the power to give, receive, and cure all illnesses but is cursed with knowing that soon he will ghost-die.

He can also shoot fondue from his red pocket and many badly drawn super heroes owe him favours.

What's that coming from his hands? Only time will tell.

He's some kind of hairy pig-ball. He likes truffles and night-time walks in the park, is easily scared but also darn cuddly and house trained too.

Boink was convicted of multiple counts of theft in 1991 when it was discovered he was the cause of the mysterious incidents where socks would disappear from the washing machine, leaving behind lots of odd pairs.

He doesn't really have many powers, I suppose the main one is being a mildly amusing substitute for a juggling ball.

- His mask/cape is fireproof
