Just as the titles says, my 360 is starting to get a little slow, espically when im playing Oblivion.
Any hints on how to make it run fast as it used to?

If anything plug in an internal fan, which you can buy at like GameStop or BestBuy for like $25. It should cool it down a lot, which might stop it being sluggish.

1st. Hilarious avatar.

2nd. Are you playing it for hours straight? Mine slows down considerably when I play for more than 8 hours straight. Maybe you should give it a rest?

Careful, though. There's one out there that actually VOIDS your warranty.

I had a problem with Rainbow Six Vegas crashing alot, so I did this:
Go to your System Blade ---> Storage Devices and highlight your hard drive then put in the following code
http://www.joystiq.com/media/2006/06/xbox360-cache-clear.jpg
Basically it cleans up your HDD, you will not lose any game saves, achievements or whatever. But it removes all of your game updates, so be prepared to update each one the next time you play it.
Good Luck =]

I've heard (here on Explosm actually) that the Intercooler might result in the TROD. Since then I've backed off of buying one. Do they really work?

They work, but it depends on your definition of work. They do cool the system but only marginally. Since they require more voltage that the system can put out on a large scale (this may have been corrected on the newer systems, but I doubt it) it has been the cause of many RROD's.
