Ok so I've Been playing since early December, I have all the basics down, I can play some songs such as Nothing else matters, tell me baby, and road trippin. The problem is all the "easy" songs are getting too easy and I cant find any intermediate songs to play, so what are some fun intermediate songs to play on guitar?

I'd suggest Aerials by System of a Down, you can find the song here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ6FbEmDDcU

and the tab here:

But if you're not into all of those powerchord-based songs, i'd recommend Knights of Cydonia by Muse:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_sBOsh-vyI

and the tab:

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/m/muse/knights_of_cydonia_tab.htm

Both are relatively easy with some difficulty, with Aerials being the easier song. Knights of Cydonia also uses a lot of alternate picking.

I can play some songs such as Nothing else matters,

What about some other Metallica songs? One? Master of Puppets? Enter Sandman? And play them all the way through?

Are you looking for just some pop songs or a particular genre?

Classic Rock-
Day Tripper by the Beatles. ( I still can't play that song)
Burning of the Midnight Lamp by James Marshall Hendrix
Pinball Wizard by the Who

Current Rock
Alive by Pearl Jam
Miss Murder by some lame band I forget the name
Stellar by Incubus

Sidewinder by Avenged Sevenfold

Some people may think A7X sucks but in reality they could play pretty decent songs with nicely done guitar compositions in them, such as this song. Play the leads, the chords are too easy.

Or, if you're looking into something more advanced...

Technical Difficulties by Racer X

Awesome song, listen to it, then learn it.

Sidewinder is pretty easy, up until the solo's at the end. They take a while to get, especially the last one. Funilly enough, my band did a cover of Sidewinder pretty recently. Illpost i up here if i can be arsed later :P

The middle solo of the song is pretty hard if you're not an alternate picker. I'm an economy picker and its pretty hard for me to play it slowly and throughly, like in the song.

Sidewinder's pretty ok though if you're new to guitar and want to practice a challenge.

Stairway to Heaven. It only took me like half a month to learn, and another half a month to master.

Stricken - Disturbed

Left Behind - Slipknot

You may not like the Slipknot one but it is a pretty damn good song for getting better at guitar as long as you get a right tab. I did it by ear with the help of another guitarist so it made things easier.

Stricken is pretty easy up untill the last part of the solo but it will give you somewhat of a challenge hopefully.

Don't forget to practice your scales though. It's fun learning metallica songs but scales improve your technique immensely.

Listen to buck, for he is wise. If you're "semi-new", scales are going to help you more than actual songs. You can play around and improvise with them more, and build your own style. Scales will help with immediate finger speed and accuracy as you jump into more intricate songs later down the road.

Power chords make things SOO easy, but you don't gain any hand strength. Learn your bar chords and you can play anything.
