Ok so I recently bought a laptop, and it already has a webcam installed. But I am not allowed to use my laptop at work due to the fact that it has a webcam. Alot of classified stuff is there and they dont want people stealing it or takin pictures.
I bought the laptop for work, the tech guy at the place said it was the best one for what i wanted to do.

Now my question is, is there anyway to remove the webcam from my laptop without destroying it? Or do i have to return it and get one without one.

Where do you work that they're that paranoid?

If it is a built in webcam there is no way to remove it. Your best bet is to return it and get a new one. You could try to remove it but that would be more work than it is worth, it would void the warranty, and there is no guarantee that you could even remove it.

You could just paint over it or try to take it out, or depending on how paranoid your work is, just put some tape over it or something.

i work with the military, so some of the stuff i work with is considered "classified"

Yeah, I'd just return it and get a laptop without the web cam.
