Apparently everyone involved with the infamous Abu Ghraib incident was found not guilty of the crimes they most definately committed. The only person who actually got in trouble was an Army Officer. What exactly was he found guilty of? Disobeying the order to not talk about the investigation.

What a wonderful country we live in.

It's ok, Iraqis aren't really people anyways.

Those acquittals absolved Jordan, 51, of responsibility for the actions of 11 lower-ranking soldiers who have already been convicted for their roles at Abu Ghraib.

It's in the name of freedom, though.
If you do anything to protect us from terrorists, it's perfectly alright.:eyebrow:

A few English officers were done for a similar thing at a prison called "Abu-Grave".

I can't remember if they were done for it or not though.

To even think about doing that though must mean that your out of your tree.

Another article somewhere said everyone got off free. I'll try to find it.

CharlieH, Abu Ghraib is often corrupted by English-speakers not familiar with Arabic pronounciation as "Aboo Grave". In hindsight, the two do sound similar. They are, in fact, the same prison and there were a number of nationalities stationed to guard the facility. There has been a major investigation into the incident, and as far as I am aware, the military have concluded the investigation and the soldiers involved have been reprimanded.

Let us know with another poorly thought out thread.
