WTF

I can't believe no one has made a thread about this book yet.
"World Without End" is the sequel to "The Pilars of The Earth". Both take place in medieval England.
The very first day this book came into stores in spanish I bought it, because the first book was simply exquisite (I read it twice one after another). Read it in about a month and a half.
In my opinion, it is the best book Follett has written, together with its predecesor. Its so addicting, the plot (revealing info-->or should I say plots)<--) is very exciting, yet fluid and clear, but not too clear, just enough for understanding it but not too much so you still want to keep reading... I dont know if you got that...
I highly recommend this book, also the first one.
You can read them in any order, you don't need to read the first one to understand the second one, though if you did you would understand some conections between the characters of the first book and the characters of the second one. (This was said by Follett on an interview)
Anyways, has anyone read this book? Comments, critiques? Favorite characters? (if you are going to answer ,explain your answer, and do it with a spoiler, so that you dont ruin the book to people who hadnt read it yet)
My favourite character is Caris. I just really like her free spirit and her rebel attitude, mostly her way of being regarding things that she was taught. She really thinks about things and makes her own opinion about everything, she doesnt just accept what she is told, at least not before discusing it or analyzing it.
Also her will to help sick people regardless what the Prior or the Church might say about her methods.
What I don't like about her, is her not being able to choose between Merthin and the Convent's Hospital, when (in my opinion) she should have chosen Merthin in the first place, saving both of them from all of the frustration they go through because of that.
