Okay, so I've been having a problem with my Team Fortress 2 for a while, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with my router or internet, because.. Well, you shall see. So when I try to join games, I can't join them through the GUI, I have to join in the console.

Examples from several servers.

So I'll connect through the console.

Success, and my ping is normal (For me, at least. No lag, and my ping is always at about 120). So what the fuck TF2? Does anyone know anything about this?

EDIT: Also what the fuck are all those errors on my console?

Have you let anyone use your tf2 recently? That console error sounds like it thinks you're cheating by replacing textures. People do that, usually replacing them with transparent ones so they can see through walls. Maybe it's not letting you join servers for that reason?

He can join servers, though. Just not via the Steam GUI. And Tempest has told me about this numerous times before, it's been happening for some time.

Unfortunately the only advice I can give is to email Steam support, or open a ticket, or whatever their method is for this kind of thing.

how dare you try to play on an eX server, you tratior >:(

Could a reinstall workout and was it working fine before?

If you have access to another computer(Like a friend's computer) then you could sign on to your steam and try it out there to see if it's steam's fault and not a faulty install or something.

I know personally he has reinstalled steam multiple times.

Yeah, I'm on a clean install of Steam because I wiped my hard drive on accident. Fresh Steam, fresh TF2. I don't know what the problem is, and it's annoying the shit out of me.

Yeah, I'd say fill out a ticket for steam support if you haven't already. I had this problem once before, and a defrag of the game files, and a steam reinstall did the trick.
