Hey guys,
I haven't been around here in ages so I feel a little odd advertising my band as soon as I return, but I'm going to anyway.
Myspace (www.myspace.com/actsofapollo)
Triple J Unearthed (www.triplejunearthed.com.au/actsofapollo) (This is more for the Aussies)
We've been playing seriously for about 2 months now. We recorded "Steer Clear" for a Triple J competition but unfortunately we didn't even make the finals. You can listen to the winner on the Triple J site somewhere and compare them if you want.
I (drummer) have co written all songs with the singer. We are currently in the process of writing about 3 more songs for our EP.
Our genres range from Rock, Hard Rock and Alternative to others such as prog, metal and, according to our Myspace profile, Chinese Traditional.
Our influences include Muse, Foo Fighters, U2, Incubus, Rage Against The Machine and so forth. I add the prog flavour as I am very much into Dream Theater.
All comments are welcome, good or bad, but keep it constructive.
(The singer is well aware of his poor performance the recording. We had quite a large practise the day before and his voice hadn't fully recovered. We have also made a decision to play it down 1/2 step.)
