This box keeps popping up, I know there isn't technically an infection, but the box itself is the infection. It's a form of a scam virus, I've been looking for ways to get rid of it and have failed. Can someone please help me find a way to get rid of it? It's very bothersome and my anti-virus program cannot find it.

Do you have any anti-spyware programs? If not I would suggest Spybot Search and Destroy.

The virus protection program I use has it, it said it got rid of the problem but didn't. I'll try search and destroy to see if it helps.

Best way to diagnose would be to take a screenshot of all your active processes in the task manager.

No spyware at all, I was saying that the box is a virus or something because there's no spyware found on the computer at all.

That looks like a bogus virus protector and is most likely spyware, get rid of it. Whatever you do, don't download the shit that pop up thing is telling you to.

A simple thing to do is google your process names, if it's a virus there is usually a billion topics on it.

I found one and it told me to go in safe mode and scan with my virus protection program, but it didn't work

If you know what process is causing the virus, search your C-drive for it, and delete it. Once you have found the file itself you need to end the process before deleting it. Also which anti-virus/anti-spyware programs are you using?

Nope, it could not find it at all. AVG anti-virus free, it's helped a lot before getting rid of shit but it just cannot find this virus.

Try downloading AVG's anti-spyware as well and use that. Are you searching hidden files and folders?

Well it's never hurt to have a second. Check out the 'free apps', and pick up Spybot S&D, or anything else really.

Even a third as a backup isn't a bad idea. When you know it's there and the program doesn't, doesn't give me the greatest feeling.

I searched fucking everything, I even did a slow search and no spyware or viruses turned up. It has the anti-spyware already with it

I took Spybot, but I have to buy it/it didn't find it.

Well you're doing something wrong then, or using the wrong software. Try using an anti-spyware program instead of just anti-virus and see what that picks up.

Dunno what link the apps thread had, but the download's right here (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html).

Hmm, this is a different one from what I just downloaded. Alright, I'll use this to check it.
