I did a cover of Mishka's "Lonely"
For all of you that don't know who he is, Mishka is a guitarist/song writer from the island of bermuda, and he is amazing, give him a listen.
I know I can't really sing, and I'm pretty much terrible at it, but thats not what music is about, right?
Anyhow, give it a listen see if you like it or not.

Feel free to bash my horrible singing! :bangkill:
P.S When you download you might have to change the extention of the file.
PM me if you need help with that.

Hmmm, I was unable to find the original on the nets so I'm flying with impaired vision for this critique.
First of all, what did you use to record this? It sounds like you used one bad microphone. I suggest running your guitar line-in directly into whatever your recording hardware is and using the microphone for the vocals only. If you want to/have to record the guitar with a microphone stay as still as possible and experiment with different microphone positions to see what sounds best for you.
Another thing about the recording is that it's a perfect example of why the m4a format blows ass, it turns all the sparkle of the guitar into a bunch of throaty modulated sine tones and artificially creates dissonance between your voice and the guitar. Next time record in wav format and render an mp3 for sharing.
Your voice isnt great but its reasonably in tune and in time most of the time. I think your problem is you're slurring too many of the notes together, then again I'm no expert on singing so I'm probably wrong.

You're totally right! I didn't use anything really set up for this, I just used my macbooks built-in Mic, recorded both guitar and vocals on the same session.
I would have used my G5 in the studio, but I did it for fun and nothing else.
Thanks for the critique! Thank god someone knows exactly what they are talking about! and I hate .mp3 cause it looses a lot of quality, if it was up to me, and actually put time into this recording I would have saved it in lossless .aiff and used to XLR output mic's with buffer. Once again thanks!! glad to see you somewhat like it.

I don't think your voice sounds too good in reggae.
I can't really say I'm feeling the reggae on a whole either. It needs to flow a lil more smoothly.
Although I haven't heard the original, and I might have a better perspective for criticism if I listen to it first.
