I've gone over all the suggestions and narrowed it down to these books based on length, potential for discussion, and the overall interest shown by people in the suggestions thread. I also looked at how they did in last month's poll (if they were in it).

Voting: Please only vote for a maximum of 2 books this month. You're not obligated to vote for 2 books, it's just the maximum.

If your book didn't get in the poll, don't complain to me. Read it on your own and post an individual thread about it. Just because you want to read it doesn't necessarily make it suitable for the book club, and just because it wasn't chosen doesn't mean you can't read it.

Here are the links to the posts suggesting each book (includes genre, length, synopsis, and review):

Life of Pi by Yann Martel (http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=537357&postcount=6)

Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk (http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=546484&postcount=10)

The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick (http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=592501&postcount=10)

Therese Raquin by Emile Zola (http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=626887&postcount=29)

Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey by Chuck Palahniuk (http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=627512&postcount=31)

Yes, there are two Chuck Palahniuk books up there. It's now or never. I figure we might as well get it out of the way.

If you're going to vote Chuck, choose wisely. We won't be doing another of his books for a while.

I'd be happy with any of these

I just bought Life of Pi yesterday since I was pretty sure it was going to win. I might have to go get Snuff now :P

Shit. Life of Pi is one of the ones that I can't get easy access too. I doubt I'd be willing to order this one off of the internet.

That's surprising. Life of Pi is really popular right now. My school library alone had 5 copies.

There are only two bookstores in the area and they're pretty small and part of the same chain. And the local libraries aren't even worth checking.

My library had zero Palahniuk books. So I picked up Life of Pi and prayed for the best.
